It got me tingling.” Life for curvy, witty, just-fine-by-herself-thank-you-very-much Delilah Coltrane has fallen into a slightly boring, but comfortable routine. She runs stadium stairs, she drinks a little too much and is a karaoke master. But for Dilly, a reluctant ice sculptor, the routine is starting to turn into a rut. Jake Somerset is a man caught between two worlds. When his father died, he inherited both his spot as head of a massively successful tech company... and as the alpha of a pack of rowdy, half-crazed werewolves. Jake figures the best way to say “I’m The Boss” is to get a giant statue made of himself. He walks into Delilah’s studio, and straight into her heart. The big, growly, adorably cocky billionaire is exactly what Dilly never knew she wanted, until he walked through her door with his dark curls, steely silver eyes, and shoulders broad enough to stop her dead in her tracks. And yeah, his voice is growly enough to get her tingling in all the right places. While the two indulge in a whirlwind romance, a threat brews on the fringes. Jake’s brother – the exiled alpha-wannabe Dane – wants to take back the pack. Once he finds out about Delilah, Dane won’t stop with controlling the pack... he’s gunning for his brother’s mate. Will the unlikely pair survive a war with the brutal and murderous rogue wolf? Or will their match made in heaven turn into a match made in hell?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Radical Two-Kingdoms theology would have us believe that God has created a divided world. It is a world bifurcated into two realms, one of “nature” and the other of “grace,” whereby the things common to believer and unbeliever are understood to occupy a distinct and autonomous realm, “nature,” while the things particular to believers are located in a separate, “higher,” “spiritual” realm, the realm of “grace.” Supposedly, the latter is to be kept unsoiled by contact with the natural realm, which then goes by the name of “the world.” The Christian as Christian is therefore only responsible for the realm of grace; but as human being, undistinguished from unbelievers, he is responsible to act in the realm of nature. By what criterion? Something that goes under the name of natural law. The crux of the issue is, the two realms have nothing in common, the better to preserve the spiritual realm from contamination from below. This may sound pious and spiritually pure, but it is in fact a recipe for human autonomy and nothing less than a betrayal of the Christian’s calling to pursue the kingdom of Christ in and through the work of everyday, “natural” life. For one day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is King of Kings, Lord of Lords; and the glory and honor of the nations will be brought into His kingdom. This includes culture and politics, for there are no such Two Kingdoms. Radical Two-Kingdoms theology is therefore an invitation to a combination of escapism and humanistic political activism. It is a plague on the church which needs to be confronted at every turn. “Woe unto the preacher who does not sound the alarm when the Good News is attacked from within the church, when the Law is pitted against the Gospel, and when Christ's Crown Rights over all of life is disputed. Especially in this day and age when unity is elevated far above purity and when virtue signaling seems to be the order of the day, I am most grateful for this excellent contribution by Rev. Bret McAtee. This work robs the serious reader of every excuse not to stand up against a false and dangerous doctrine – one that is by no means a minor issue, but an assault on the Gospel of Jesus Christ itself. I am most thankful that McAtee has answered the call and dealt with the assailants, not with cheap rhetoric, but by biblically interacting with their own words” – Rev. Sacha Walicord

Though Alison enjoys the treats, she has always worked for what she achieved and clings to her independence. Then Alison meets Lillian Torres at a party and falls for the beautiful Venezuelan woman. Rachel is delighted Alison has found love and embraces Lillian into their lives. When fate intervenes, will Alison and Lillian be able to give up their careers to help realize Rachel's dream of creating a home for handicapped children?

Book excerpt: How can we seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness in today’s world when all around us are temptations, trials and extreme opposition toward Christian values. Apathy toward the Church and a lack of commitment to spiritual things even among Christians saddens the faithful and those who diligently seek after the things of God. When Jesus spoke these words in Matthew 6:33, the world was no different. If it had been, He would not have had to leave the glory of Heaven to dwell among us. Jesus calls on mankind to seek and know Him because He knows that is where we will find peace and joy for this life and know kingdom living for eternity. We will not understand the full extent of His love until we learn to seek Him first and above all else. His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9), and His love for us is greater than we can imagine. Daily seeking Him is one way we can draw near to our Creator and truly know Him as He wants to be known. Let this devotional book only serve as a helper to point you to His holy Word, the Bible, where you will learn truth as you discover the omnipotence and omniscience in the presence of Holy God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book was originally going to be called H.O.W. Honest Open Willing Posts which was a non fiction but anonymous story about someone who posts on a social network in a closed group with about 260 understanding friends, family, school mates, and anonymous fellowship members. They start to relate in one way or another as each day he eventually tells of every brutal thing he did and was done to him going from birth all the way through his early 40's. This includes feeling awkward, not fitting in, low self-esteem, bullying, mental illness, arson, theft, vandalism, special education, depression, marijuana addiction, alcoholism, drug abuse, sexual promiscuities, suicide, encounters with the law, accidents, illnesses, 9/11, and more. All of it leads down an even more vicious, destructive cycle while experiencing despair, loss of meaning, fear, and insanity. There is only one of two ways this could ultimately end but it does end with recovery, the 12 steps, and a brighter future with hope after 4 plus years. No one would know exactly who it is but that it is 100% true. The only problem is that hundreds of people would have known right away and everyone else rather soon, that it was me.

Perfect for a weekend read or as a companion text to an introductory course in mass media, Beyond the Red Carpet is an informative and entertaining book that covers every aspect of the business of entertainment journalism. Francine Brokaw has been a professional writer for over twenty years, focusing on entertainment and political journalism. Her work has appeared in numerous national and international magazines.
