Esse interesse aumentou a oferta de cursos de Espanhol mas não garantiu a qualidade do aprendizado, já que cada instituição escolhe os métodos e materiais didáticos com critérios não necessariamente pedagógicos ou metodológicos bem fundamentados. O que esta pesquisa procurou saber foi se existe uma melhor e mais efetiva maneira de ensinar Espanhol aos alunos brasileiros. Partiu-se do pressuposto de que é provável que a adoção de uma metodologia baseada na necessidade prática do aluno e que selecione o material a partir de sua adequação ao público pretendido, leve a obter melhores resultados. O objetivo desta dissertação foi de criar um instrumento de auto-instrução efetivo para conseguir um melhor rendimento dos alunos de colégios e universidades do Brasil na aprendizagem do Espanhol utilizando uma tecnologia moderna, o CD-ROM. A metodologia utilizada foi a revisão teórica das diferentes correntes metodológicas da aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras e uma caracterização do processo comunicacional a partir das diferentes mídias. Este arcabouço teórico deu o embasamento para a produção de um projeto piloto em CD-ROM. A presente dissertação está distribuída em cinco capítulos. O primeiro faz uma introdução ao tema, apresentando o problema, a justificativa, objetivos e metodologia utilizada. O segundo capítulo faz a revisão teórica das principais correntes metodológicas do ensino de línguas estrangeiras. O terceiro capítulo traça uma visão sobre as comunicações em geral, as mídias e a multimídia. O quarto capítulo apresenta as possibilidades que a multimídia proporciona ao ensino do espanhol. No quinto capítulo é apresentado o projeto piloto para o Ensino de Espanhol para Brasileiros, utilizando o CD-ROM e a metodologia utilizada para a produção de duas aulas em forma de protótipo, que se encontram em anexo. Finalmente, no último capítulo, são feitas as conclusões e as recomendações para futuros trabalhos nessa área. It has more than ten years ago that Brazil lives an increasing linguistic phenomenon: the learning of the Spanish as a foreign language. This interest increased the offers of Spanish courses but it did not guarantee the learning quality, since each institution chooses the didactic methods and materials with well based criteria not necessarily pedagogical or metodical. What this research looked for to know was if it exists one better and more effective way to teach Spanish to the Brazilian pupils. It started by the preposition that it is probable that the adoption of a methodology based on the practical necessity of the pupil and that selects the material from its adequacy to the intended public, has led to get better results. The porpose of this exposition was to create an effective instrument of auto-instruction to obtain one better return from the pupils of colleges and universities of Brazil, in the learning of the Spanish using a modern technology, the CD-ROM. The used methodology was the theoretical revision through of different metodologic currents of the learning of foreign languages and a characterization of the comunicacional process from the different medias. This theoric gaves the basement for the production of a pilot project in a CD-ROM. The present exposition is distributed in five chapters. The first one makes an introduction to the subject, presenting the problem, the justification, objectives and used methodology. The second chapter makes the theorical revision of the main methodological currents of the education of foreign languages. The third chapter shows a vision of all the communications types, as midia and multimedia. The fourth chapter presents the possibilities that the multimidia provides to the education of the Spanish. In the fifth chapter is presented the pilot project for the teaching of spanich for brazilian people, using the CD-ROM and the methodology used for the production of two lessons as samples that are included. Finally, in the last chapter, the conclusions and the recommendations for future works in this area are made.
