Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book we are giving you the information for using nutrition therapy to create your CFS diet so that you can get on with the job of beating your chronic fatigue. This book will also give an overview of the range of available CFS therapies that you can use in conjunction with the benefits of adding Super Foods to your daily diet and incorporating specific herbal based nutritional supplements to your CFS Diet therapy. Although we are not medical practitioners, we have spent decades sharing our personal experiences of beating CFS, toward helping other people to deal with their CFS symptoms as well. This is the second book in the series, a companion to Volume1 "How to Beat Chronic Fatigue Syndrome...and get your life back!" which focuses on the most effective CFS Therapies and self help techniques. Warren Tattersall lives in rural Australia and has had a lifetime of personal experience dealing with CFS. He has worked with nutrition supplements for over 20 years. On a daily basis he works, one-on-one, with people looking to improve their health and is regularly dealing with CFS sufferers. He trains and supports others in this field in many countries and regularly travels internationally to train others or to further his own studies. Helene Malmsio is a retired business woman living in Australia who has been researching and testing for over 35 years to learn how to treat her own severe case of CFS. Discussions with people showed that most CFS sufferers were being overwhelmed by the sheer volume of CFS research and data available, without necessarily being given the practical information about the CFS therapies that are already working for others. This led Helene to collaborate with Warren to create this book, pooling their shared resources and experience toward creating a straightforward step-by-step book on beating CFS.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Alpha Nutrition Program was designed to resolve common food related diseases. The book addresses a wide range of medical problems such as diabetes 2, arterial disease, high blood pressure, digestive disorders, skin disorders, fatigue, arthritis, weight-loss, and other common problems associated with food. People who feel "sick-all-over" or who suffer from chronic fatigue and chronic pain often improve on the program. Weight management is covered in a new and intelligent way. Common digestive problems are addressed. Several common health problems in children are resolved. The central feature of the Alpha Nutrition Program is diet revision. Dr. Stephen Gislason invented "diet revision therapy" in 1983. His method of diet revision has been tested by thousands of people. The program is designed as self-help and provides sufficiently detailed instructions that you can conduct your own diet revision therapy. The Alpha Nutrition Program is presented in three sections Section 1 provides you with an understanding of how the Alpha Nutrition Program works. You then consider where you come from - your attitudes, beliefs, lifestyle, and then you proceed to understand the stages of transformation as you pursue diet revision. The discussion of symptoms will help you to monitor yourself, your children and other family members. Single people, couples and entire families do the program. Usually one person acts as the "leader" and supplies the main energy and direction for change. The program works well for children; mother is more often the leader when one child in the family needs help, and mother may need to involve the entire family to help one child. A separate chapter describes guiding children through the program. The Alpha Program food choices are explained. Section 2 is the program food instructions. The program has three phases and each is explained in its own chapter. The food list and instructions for each phase are defined first. Predictions about changes are then described with problem-solving instructions. Three tracks through the program are described. The goals are clearly defined for each phase and you are given instructions about what foods you should eat, what to expect, how to problem solve, and how to use nutritional tools such as the nutrient formulas, Alpha ENF and Alpha DMX. Section 3 explains meal-planning and nutrition and provides additional information about topics of major concern. The Alpha Nutrition Book of Cooking is a companion volume to the Alpha Nutrition Program. This text provides practical knowledge, helpful in understanding how to prepare foods and create recipes that are suitable for recovery from a variety of health problems.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book, Aching & Fatigue is about non specific illnesses and two common patterns of illness, the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Some patients say " I feel sick all over". These are overlapping symptom complexes and are often part of a larger illness complex. The general classification is non-specific hypersensitivity disease. Dr. Gislason explains why diet revision as the first and most essential form of therapy. Long term management of food intake is required to sustain improvements. The book, Aching & Fatigue describes these common problems and their solution, providing case history examples. People with chronic pain describe a variety of patterns -generalized aching associated with tender "pressure points" are common complaints. Fibromyalgia sufferers often say:" I feel like I am 90 years old." Stiffness after sitting or lying down is common. The stiffness and pain will often improve with mild activities, but overly vigorous exertion makes it worse. There are many ideas about Fibromyalgia. Patients are often frustrated and confused. Physicians are not always helpful and insurance companies are reluctant to pay disability claims. Some people have strong opinions and beliefs about Fibromyalgia and some support groups champion one idea over all others. We believe that Fibromyalgia is one expression of non-specific hypersensitivity disease and should be treated with diet revision as the first and most essential form of therapy. Not everyone agrees with us. The revent marketing a drug directed at fibromylagia pain has legitimized the diagnosis. If the drug has any benefit, it comes with a high price to purchase and then a cost to you as you endure the side effects. We have prepared an intelligent guide for people with FM who are motivated to experiment, modify their lifestyle and make a sustained effort to improve. Drugs shuld not be the prefered remedy. The Alpha Nutrition Program can help to resolve Fibromyalgia and related disorders. The program is both a a diagnostic and a treatment procedure. The first Phase of the program is an attempt to clear symptoms. This is home science. You start with the hypothesis that your food intake is causing or contributing to your illness and you do an experiment to find out if it is true. You want to accomplish four important goals at the same time: Remove all the problems in your existing food supplyAdd all the nutrients your body needsReintroduce the best, nourishing foods available and establish a new healthier dietlearn how to take better care of yourselfBegin gentle exercise and slowly regain physical fitness.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some doctors still think Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a "fake" diagnosis. In this book, Joel Young, MD, presents the research, experience, and treatments that prove otherwise. Millions of Americans experience chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), a continuous exhaustion and a feeling comparable to that of having just run a marathon when all they have done is a daily living task, such as taking a shower or getting dressed. Doctors don't have tests for CFS, and some think it's a faux or psychological disorder. Joel Young, MD, in this heavily researched book, explains why it is a true physical illness and how it may be treated. He details how he successfully treats the symptoms, which can include severe fatigue, "brain fog," chronic pain, and sleep problems. Unlike doctors who recommend exercise, supplements, or opioid medications, Young integrates such options as long-acting stimulants, meditation, and dietary changes to reduce fatigue, as well as non-opioid drugs, medical marijuana, and self-help options including yoga for the associated chronic pain.

Book excerpt: Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) are serious, debilitating conditions that affect millions of people in the United States and around the world. ME/CFS can cause significant impairment and disability. Despite substantial efforts by researchers to better understand ME/CFS, there is no known cause or effective treatment. Diagnosing the disease remains a challenge, and patients often struggle with their illness for years before an identification is made. Some health care providers have been skeptical about the serious physiological - rather than psychological - nature of the illness. Once diagnosed, patients often complain of receiving hostility from their health care provider as well as being subjected to treatment strategies that exacerbate their symptoms. Beyond Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome proposes new diagnostic clinical criteria for ME/CFS and a new term for the illness - systemic exertion intolerance disease(SEID). According to this report, the term myalgic encephalomyelitis does not accurately describe this illness, and the term chronic fatigue syndrome can result in trivialization and stigmatization for patients afflicted with this illness. Beyond Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome stresses that SEID is a medical - not a psychiatric or psychological - illness. This report lists the major symptoms of SEID and recommends a diagnostic process. One of the report's most important conclusions is that a thorough history, physical examination, and targeted work-up are necessary and often sufficient for diagnosis. The new criteria will allow a large percentage of undiagnosed patients to receive an accurate diagnosis and appropriate care. Beyond Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome will be a valuable resource to promote the prompt diagnosis of patients with this complex, multisystem, and often devastating disorder; enhance public understanding; and provide a firm foundation for future improvements in diagnosis and treatment.

Even good diets fail to deliver sufficient levels of nutrients. Research proves the immense value of vitamins for maintaining health and fighting disease. The Vitamin Cure book series, written by authors who are recognized experts in their field, offers authoritative, up-to-date, and practical information on taking vitamins for specific health problems. Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is an elusive, difficult-to-treat condition in which the entire human organism has gone out of kilter. Symptoms include fatigue, muscle and joint pain, feeling unwell after exercise, unrefreshing sleep, and memory/concentration problems. A combination of factors is implicated in the development of CFS: allergies, nervous system dysfunction, environmental toxins, immune dysfunction, and oxidative stress. Unfortunately, mainstream medicine relies on a piecemeal and inadequate approach to the problem. This groundbreaking book directly addresses the myriad causes of CFS and offers restorative vitamin and other treatments capable of safely reducing symptoms. Orthomolecular (megavitamin) therapy encompasses common over-the-counter vitamins, minerals, and herbal medicine, in combination with sound medical and scientific evidence. These natural treatments can provide profound relief for those with chronic fatigue. Book jacket.
