The presence of this market creates an opportunity to examine options for integrating planning, harvesting, and silviculture more closely to enhance end-use allocation and overall economic efficiency. This report develops a framework, methodology, and analytical techniques to evaluate those options and assess their potential impact on forest management. The methodology included collection of details on the area's forest management and market situation, calculation of growth and yield of a mix of products, quantification of silviculture and harvest costs, and development of a forest-based analytical model. The report also makes recommendations on the further use of the model.
