Download or read book Nietzsche Y la Curvatura de la Ilustración written by Manuel Barrios Casares and published by . This book was released on 2019 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Friedrich Nietzsche written by Reiner Ruffing and published by La otra h. This book was released on 2020-03-20 with total page 107 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ¿Quién no conoce a Friedrich Nietzsche, mitad pensador, mitad bigote?

Download or read book Nietzsche and Art written by Anthony M Ludovici and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2019-07 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an analysis of Nietzsche's theories of art, a unique attempt at clarifying the Nietzschean history of art in terms of decadent-democratic epochs. Ludovici MBE (1882 -1971) was a British philosopher, sociologist, social critic and polyglot. He is best known as a leading British conservative author of the early 20th century. The son and grandson of painters, and a talented amateur himself, Ludovici championed representational art stressing human beauty. He wrote on subjects including art, metaphysics, politics, economics, religion, the differences between the sexes, race, health, and eugenics. He began his career as an artist, painting and illustrating books. He was private secretary to sculptor Rodin. Ludovici also became a student of Dr. Oscar Levy, editor of The Complete Works of Friedrich Nietzsche, the first translation of Nietzsche's works in English, to which Ludovici contributed several volumes. In Nietzsche and Art, the Author offers the Reader unique insights not only into Nietzsche's philosophy but also into art theory in general. Book Synopsis Nietzsche and the Fate of Art by : Philip Pothen
Download or read book Nietzsche and the Fate of Art written by Philip Pothen and published by Ashgate Publishing. This book was released on 2002 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Challenging the accepted orthodoxy on Nietzsche's views on art, this book seeks both to challenge and to establish a new set of concerns as far as discourses on Nietzsche's thoughts on aesthetics are concerned, whilst at the same time using such insights to illuminate more central concerns of Nietzsche scholarship, such as the will to power, the illusion/truth question, the eternal return, the death of God, tragedy and Wagner.Following the development of Nietzsche's thoughts on art from his earliest writings to his last, Pothen counters traditionally accepted interpretations by suggesting a need to recognize the deep suspicion and at times hostility that Nietzsche displays towards art and the artist throughout his text by emphasising the philosophical arguments underlying this deep suspicion, and by viewing this tendency as something deeply connected to the other areas of his thought. Readers with interests in Nietzsche studies, aesthetics, German philosophy, and the philosophy of music, will find this a particularly invaluable and distinctive contribution to Nietzsche scholarship.

Book Synopsis Epistemologies of the South by : Boaventura de Sousa Santos
Download or read book Epistemologies of the South written by Boaventura de Sousa Santos and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2015-11-17 with total page 285 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the concept of 'cognitive injustice': the failure to recognise the different ways of knowing by which people across the globe run their lives and provide meaning to their existence. Boaventura de Sousa Santos shows why global social justice is not possible without global cognitive justice. Santos argues that Western domination has profoundly marginalised knowledge and wisdom that had been in existence in the global South. She contends that today it is imperative to recover and valorize the epistemological diversity of the world. Epistemologies of the South outlines a new kind of bottom-up cosmopolitanism, in which conviviality, solidarity and life triumph against the logic of market-ridden greed and individualism.
Download or read book Frau Lou written by Rudolph Binion and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2015-03-08 with total page 602 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The rich and fascinating life of Lou Andreas-Salomé (1861-1937) has been reconstructed by Professor Binion on a vast documentary basis, and his findings contradict all earlier versions of her life. Frau Lou was a woman of prodigious intellect, a woman of letters, and a powerful personality. She was closely linked with many of the great cultural figures of the time, often before they achieved recognition. This was the case with Nietzsche, Rilke, Freud, Ferdinand Tönnies, Gerhart Hauptmann, Arthur Schnitzler, and Martin Buber. Frau Lou not only relates but interprets Lou's life, and the point of the book is to discover how the works of the mind, whether scientific or imaginative, arise out of personal experience. Contents: I. Father and Father-God. II. God's Vicar, Gillot. III. After Gillot. IV. The Unholy Trinity. V. From Pillar to Post. VI. "A Pity Forever." VII. Lou Without Nietzsche. VIII. The Wayward Disciple. IX. Rites of Love. X. Super-Lou and Raincr. XI. Russia In, Raincr Out. XII. Idly Busy. XIII. At Freud's Elbow. XIV. A Personalized Freudianism. XV. Theorizing for Freud. XVI.
