Book Synopsis The Beginning Is Near by : Em Merson PhD
Download or read book The Beginning Is Near written by Em Merson PhD and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2021-10-13 with total page 227 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is quasi-autobiographical, leaning on links to music from the sixties, seventies, eighties, and nineties. Woven throughout are references to self-isolation in lockdown, a journey through the dark night of the soul toward enlightenment, and a growing awareness that those of us who open our hearts to peace and love are being called on to offer it now. I share a journal about love and loss—sudden separation from a long-term relationship—and the aftermath, leading to a new beginning. I provide ideas to support transformation from books, websites, music, some wild metaphysical blogs, and YouTube videos if publicly available—check for links in the ebook by tapping or clicking on the titles that are bold and italicized. The pivotal piece in this book is that I’ve used the music and techniques to transform my life and access wisdom, joy, and bliss. This inner change has led to outer change, impacting my understanding of reality and the nature of the COVID-19 phenomenon. There are some twists in this story I could never have predicted. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Download or read book The Beginning Is Near written by Ba Else Byskov Ma and published by . This book was released on 2016-01-28 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The Beginning Is Near" invites the reader to view life from a new perspective where the present state of the world is seen as a preparation for better and more harmonious times to come. Based on the fascinating revelations of Martinus, the Danish 20th century visionary, the book exposes that we are on our way towards a peaceful and amiable coexistence where mutual respect, love and understanding will be predominant. The book argues that our development will inevitable take us to a world where there will be no more war, terrorism, social injustice or poverty. This change will come about as a result of our reaping of experience over many incarnations. As we live life after life our humanitarianism grows, and we will become better and better at expressing universal love, thus creating a beautiful place to live for all living beings. The book is full of optimism and reveals the logic of the present state of the world. In ten short chapters, it points towards a much brighter future, where a spiritual outlook on life and the idea of reincarnation will be central to our understanding of existence.

Book Synopsis Marines In World War II - Saipan: The Beginning Of The End [Illustrated Edition] by : Major Carl W. Hoffman USMC
Download or read book Marines In World War II - Saipan: The Beginning Of The End [Illustrated Edition] written by Major Carl W. Hoffman USMC and published by Pickle Partners Publishing. This book was released on 2014-08-15 with total page 868 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On the outcome of the Battle of Saipain hung the fate of the Pacific War, if the Japanese were to lost this island then the Home Islands would finally be in range of serious American bombing. As the fanatical resistance of the Japanese was raised to fever pitch by the exhortations of the high command, whilst the Marines who had learnt hard lessons on assault landings knew that the capture of Saipan could shorten the war immeasurably; so was set one of the bloodiest battles of the entire Pacific Campaign. The Japanese fought with insane courage, leading to massed banzai charges and civilian suicides; matches by the gritty determination of the experienced Marines to conquer. Contains 103 photos and 24 maps and charts. “SAIPAN was one of the key operations in the Pacific War; key because it unlocked vast potentialities to the United States in projecting its might against the Japanese homeland; key because it opened the door of distance which had meant security to the Empire. Invasion of Saipan provided the supreme challenge in which the enemy was forced to select one of two alternatives: conserve his naval resources for a later decision, leaving uncontested this penetration of his inner defense; or lash out in a vicious, showdown fight. The fact that he chose the latter course, and suffered a resounding defeat, is now history. The conquest of Saipan was, among Pacific operations up to that time, the most clear-cut decisive triumph of combined arms of the United States over the Japanese. By June 1944, U. S. forces, long superior in quality of personnel and organization, were finally greatly superior in materiel with which to fight. Victory at Saipan made this apparent to all.”-C. B. CATES, GENERAL, U. S. MARINE CORPS., COMMANDANT OF THE MARINE CORPS.

By our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and our Mother of Salvation Holy Virgin Mary. Virgin Mary is God's Final Preacher. God is always trying to lead man away from self-destruction. He sends his preachers. He sends his teachers. But these are snuffed out. Their words are not listened to and their invitations are rejected. So, finally, he has sent me. I am his final teacher, his final prophet. I am his last opportunity to change the course of history. There is no one behind me, no other message, no other signs than the ones that I will give. When I tell the world that it must listen to me, I am not speaking from a selfish and arrogant spirit. I am speaking as one who sees the destruction, the hopelessness of mankind if my words are not heeded. The fourth of five books from 2011 until 2015.
Book Synopsis Oceans of Kansas by : Michael J. Everhart
Download or read book Oceans of Kansas written by Michael J. Everhart and published by Indiana University Press. This book was released on 2017-09-11 with total page 458 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Excellent . . . Those who are interested in vertebrate paleontology or in the scientific history of the American midwest should really get a copy.” —PalArch’s Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology Revised, updated, and expanded with the latest interpretations and fossil discoveries, the second edition of Oceans of Kansas adds new twists to the fascinating story of the vast inland sea that engulfed central North America during the Age of Dinosaurs. Giant sharks, marine reptiles called mosasaurs, pteranodons, and birds with teeth all flourished in and around these shallow waters. Their abundant and well-preserved remains were sources of great excitement in the scientific community when first discovered in the 1860s and continue to yield exciting discoveries 150 years later. Michael J. Everhart vividly captures the history of these startling finds over the decades and re-creates in unforgettable detail these animals from our distant past and the world in which they lived—above, within, and on the shores of America’s ancient inland sea. “Oceans of Kansas remains the best and only book of its type currently available. Everhart’s treatment of extinct marine reptiles synthesizes source materials far more readably than any other recent, nontechnical book-length study of the subject.” —Copeia “[The book] will be most useful to fossil collectors working in the local region and to historians of vertebrate paleontology . . . Recommended.” —Choice

Book Synopsis Geometry and Algebra in Ancient Civilizations by : Bartel L. van der Waerden

This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Originally, my intention was to write a "History of Algebra", in two or three volumes. In preparing the first volume I saw that in ancient civiliza tions geometry and algebra cannot well be separated: more and more sec tions on ancient geometry were added. Hence the new title of the book: "Geometry and Algebra in Ancient Civilizations". A subsequent volume on the history of modem algebra is in preparation. It will deal mainly with field theory, Galois theory and theory of groups. I want to express my deeply felt gratitude to all those who helped me in shaping this volume. In particular, I want to thank Donald Blackmore Wagner (Berkeley) who put at my disposal his English translation of the most interesting parts of the Chinese "Nine Chapters of the Art of Arith metic" and of Liu Hui's commentary to this classic, and also Jacques Se siano (Geneva), who kindly allowed me to use his translation of the re cently discovered Arabic text of four books of Diophantos not extant in Greek. Warm thanks are also due to Wyllis Bandler (Colchester, England) who read my English text very carefully and suggested several improve ments, and to Annemarie Fellmann (Frankfurt) and Erwin Neuenschwan der (Zurich) who helped me in correcting the proof sheets. Miss Fellmann also typed the manuscript and drew the figures. I also want to thank the editorial staff and production department of Springer-Verlag for their nice cooperation.
