Book excerpt: "Take him home, and enjoy the time that you have left," the doctors said. Fourteen-year old Christopher was losing his battle with leukemia. "Christopher's Journey" is the story of a remarkable young man's four years of cancer treatments, and the many lives that he touched along the way. "Christopher's Journey" chronicles Chris's chemotherapy treatments, his irrepressible antics, and finally, his insightful acceptance of his own mortality. In many ways the book is like a pediatric version of "Tuesdays With Morrie" by Mitch Albom because it also alternates between journal entries, reflection, and narrative. Walk in the shoes of the Ditmars family as they face a childhood devastated by terminal cancer. Share Chris's unique character and unflappable humor, such as the time he glued a quarter to the floor in his hospital room and kept a tally of the ill-fated attempts to retrieve it, or when he found out he was terminal, and he asked his favorite nurse to hurry up and marry him before it was too late. Follow "Christopher's Journey as it winds its way through the tears and the laughter to a place of peace and hope.

Book excerpt: "Jimmy’s Boy - Devils, Angels and Miracles " is a first-hand account, a true story describing the amazing, often terrifying, early life experiences of a child blessed by God from birth with the extraordinary spiritual gifts of healing, visions, and the ability to recognize the presence and work of demons. Unfortunately for this child, Satan was also aware of how God had blessed this child. And so, a fierce demonic creature was dispatched from hell to pursue and torment this child in order to impede God's plan... and to consume the child's soul in the process. His remarkable journey began in infancy and continues to this day. Throughout his childhood, he displayed an extraordinary understanding of spiritual things, and spoke of "bright lights," and... "evil things." This book chronicles the true story of the demonic torments and the miraculous events experienced by this child exactly as they happened. I know... because I am that blessed child, the author of “Jimmy’s Boy.”

Nana had a dream that inspired her to know what Heaven would be like when she gets there. This book has been received with rave reviews from children and elderly alike. It offers a peace of mind and a warm heart. Look for the next book to follow... Pop-pop's Adventures in Heaven Introduction of the book: Heaven is almost indescribable and filled with so much love I had to share and comfort others. Why I wrote this story... I had been sick with cancer for a long time and was saddened to think of the end. My future looked bleak and I was doubtful about the afterlife and was never very sure of Heaven and what it would be like which is why this hit me so hard. I began to pray and pray very hard for God to grant me the end of my life. I was so tired of suffering, feeling ill and continuing with chemotherapy. I was ready to quit it all when one day my grandchildren came to visit me. My appearance was not what they were expecting to see. I sat there with no hair, dark eyes and extremely thin from the weight I lost. That night when they left I was terribly sad and prayed for God to end my life, but was afraid of what the afterlife was to hold for me. Unbeknownst to me that night my grandchildren prayed very hard for me to get well. As I fell asleep that night I had the most vivid and very real dream about heaven. The happiness I felt filled my heart and soul. I can barely explain the amount of joy, love and most importantly health I felt. When I awoke the next morning I was sad to discover I wasn't there anymore, but the thought came to me as if God spoke directly to me...write it for your grandchildren. This book describes the sights, brilliant colors and things I saw on my brief visit to heaven. I dedicate this book to my grandchildren and all children so they may know that their loved ones are beyond happy and they are in the most wonderful place they can imagine. It is a place where love flows beyond measure and where we look on our loved ones left behind. It is a wonderful place where one day I will return and pray it gives love and hope to all who read it.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Often regarded as the first golden era of television, the 1950s was a decade when many classic programs—from I Love Lucy and Gunsmoke to The Honeymooners and Perry Mason, among others—made their debuts. Even after these shows departed the airwaves, they lived on in syndication, entertaining several generations of viewers. Devoted and casual fans alike can probably remember basic facts about these shows—like the names of Lucy and Ricky’s neighbors or the town where Marshall Matt Dillon kept the law. But more elusive facts, like the location of the most successful defense attorney in Los Angeles (Suite 904 of the Brent Building), might be harder to recall. In Television Series of the 1950s: Essential Facts and Quirky Details, Vincent Terrace presents readers with a cornucopia of information about 100 programs from the decade. Did you know, for example, that the middle initial of Dobie Gillis’ friend Maynard G. Krebs, stood for Walter? Or that Ralph Kramden’s electric bill came to only 39 cents a month? Or that on I Love Lucy, Ricky originally performed at Manhattan’s Tropicana Club? These are but a few of the hundreds of fun and intriguing trivia facts contained within this volume. Shows from all four networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, and DuMont)—as well as select syndicated programs—are represented here. This is not a book of opinions or essays about specific television programs, but a treasure trove of the facts associated with each of these programs. Readers will discover a wealth of fascinating information that, for the most part, cannot be found anywhere else. In some cases, the factual data detailed herein is the only such documentation that exists currently on bygone shows of the era. Television Series of the 1950s is the ideal reference for fans of this decade and anyone looking to stump even the most knowledgeable trivia expert.

In just a few pages Margaret Ann Miller relates the grief of her losses and the joys of her accomplishments. She takes you by the hand as she overcomes extreme physical, emotional and spiritual struggles. She exposes the reality of her seemingly idyllic childhood and the lies that she built her life on and had no reason to question. Then she takes hold of your heart and demonstrates the love of Jesus and the difference He made in her life. Most importantly, A Pearl leads you to examine the lies you have believed and may still cling to. It invokes you to analyze your priorities, evaluate your sense of pride, and come face-to-face with all that you take for granted. And then it challenges you to go further and look deeper into Jesus' eyes and ask yourself if you are willing to sell everything for a Pearl of great price.
