Book excerpt: Myatt - who has translated works by Sophocles, Sappho, Aeschylus, and Homer - has been described as "a British iconoclast who has lived a somewhat itinerant life"; as "emblematic of the modern syncretism of radical ideologies"; as "an example of the axis between right-wing extremists and Islamists"; as a "theoretician of terror"; and as "the leading hardline Nazi intellectual in Britain since the 1960s". 'Myngath' provides an overview of his strange and diverse life. A childhood in Africa and the Far East; his often violent political activism; his involvement with paramilitary and criminal activities; his time as a Catholic monk; his conversion to Islam, and the personal tragedy that, via pathei-mathos, led to his rejection of all extremism and to him developing a mystical philosophy centered on empathy and the personal virtues of compassion, tolerance, and humility.

Book Synopsis Music, Youth and International Links in Post-War British Fascism by : Ryan Shaffer
Download or read book Music, Youth and International Links in Post-War British Fascism written by Ryan Shaffer and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-09-18 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines the domestic evolution and international connections of post-war fascists in the UK. It argues that post-war British fascism became transnational as the radicals increasingly exchanged ideas, money and culture with like-minded foreigners. Using interviews with key figures in several countries, this book traces the history of the National Front (NF) and British National Party (BNP), focusing on the political parties’ youth, music and international outreach. It explores how British fascism grew into an international movement, how fascist youth developed skinhead music as a conduit for their ideas, and how some of those key figures made international connections with people in Iraq, Libya, Syria and the United States. Moreover, it also draws from rare internal party documents, law enforcement records and membership lists to track foreign funding and the parties’ domestic electoral growth. For the first time, this book gained access to both the leadership and rank-and-file of the BNP and NF to explore its culture and international connections. In doing so, it shows the successes, failures and changes that have made British fascism a force in the international extremist subculture.

Book Synopsis Extremism And Reformation by : David Myatt
Download or read book Extremism And Reformation written by David Myatt and published by . This book was released on 2019-09-07 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The genesis of this compilation of essays was, as mentioned in the included essay A Premature Grieving, the publication in 2019, by political advocacy group, of various unsubstantiated allegations and disinformation about me and the subsequent repetition of such allegations and disinformation by some mainstream newspapers and media outlets. The unsubstantiated allegations and the disinformation concerned my supposed continuing involvement with extremism, specifically neo-nazism; it being apparent that neither the political advocacy group nor the newspapers and media which repeated the allegations and the disinformation had bothered to read my extensive post-2011 writings about rejecting extremism and about seeking expiation for my decades-long extremist past. This compilation of essays is my reply to those unsubstantiated allegations and disinformation. Contents Preface A Premature Grieving A Perplexing Failure To Understand Concerning The Abstractions of Extremism and Race Some Notes on The Politics and Ideology of Hate Part One: According to the Philosophy of The Numinous Way Part Two: A Personal Perspective - My Uncertitude of Knowing Some Philosophical and Moral Problems of National-Socialism Suffering And The Human Culture Of Pathei-Mathos Persecution And War The Matter With Death Appendix I: Physis And Being Appendix II: Pathei-Mathos: Genesis of My Unknowing Appendix III: A Matter Of Honour
