Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This story was told in the first person by the author’s granddaughter. It began when a coyote entered grandpa’s backyard and attacked the family’s blind dog, injuring it, making life termination mandatory. Then a rabbit, named Hoppy, talked to the granddaughter in secret, which begins a relationship with all wildlife talking to her and her brother. The animals loved the blind dog and wanted to support their new friends in the loss of their pet. The grandkids provided extensive help to their wildlife friends, helping them solve personal problems, which caused friendships to escalate. Grandma’s love and devotion to her grandkids never wavered. Five owls, who lead the groups, initiated a program in which their peers were judged to find any who were suffering excessively and were targeted to be put to sleep. That led to the dog being mistakenly attacked and dying because his condition was not understood. Later, the owl leader realizes this program was a mistake, and with Natalie’s help, announced a new program that will treat ill patients. Hoppy, the rabbit, witnessed the coyote attacking the dog. When this becomes known, the five owl group leaders bring the suspected coyote to court. Hoppy is the star witness. Other witnesses are presented including Willie, the mockingbird, whose superior memory is used by him to go to the Coyote Country, memorize the testimonies of the accused coyote and his father and present their testimonies at the trial. All coyotes had been banned from attending the trial. The accused coyote was found guilty. The judge announces that the sentence and its implementation will be decided and conducted by the guilty coyote’s father and his father’s peers. This story emphasizes how important grandparents are for their grandkids and likewise. Yes, a coyote did attack the family dog. But was the rest of the story a dream, or did it actually happen? Aren’t grandmas great?

Book excerpt: The first book in the Seasons of the Heart series is set in Connecticut in 1888, the year of what historians call “The White Hurricane.” The story reveals the power of God’s love to change lives and heal hearts. Summer Dream tells of a young couple’s love for each other and the obstacles that stand in their path of happiness. Until Nathan Reed resolves his anger with God and his family, he has no hopes of courting Rachel Winston, the minister’s daughter. As the daughter of a small-town minister in Connecticut, Rachel Winston believes the only way she’ll ever have a husband is to visit her aunt in Boston for the social season until Nathan Reed arrives in town. Although attracted to Rachel, Nathan avoids her because he has no desire to become involved with a Christian after experiences with his own family. When a devastating blizzard paralyzes New England, Nathan is caught in it and lies near death in the Winston home. Through the ministrations and tender care of Rachel and her mother, Nathan learns a lesson in love and forgiveness that leads him back to his home in the South. Before he can declare his love for Rachel, he must make amends with his own family. Will he return to Connecticut before Rachel leaves her home to head west as a missionary in Oklahoma Territory?

Book excerpt: The Endless Summer, set in 1963, is the story of the Kelly family saga. Dan and Moreen have four outstanding all-American kids—Danny Junior, Randy, and twins Garry and Cindy. They also helped raise Moreen’s cousin’s boy, Deacon James Dean, after he was orphaned a decade before. He lives two doors down on the same street. Rhonda lives in between Deacon and the Kelly’s. Cindy’s boyfriend, Dave, lives across the street, and sometimes Garry dates his little sister, Barbara Ann, but it’s not serious. Cindy fantasizes about eloping, while Dave thinks of joining the Navy, like her father had. Dan Senior owns the Cadillac lot in their hometown of Sunnyvale, California; one in Glendale, California; and one in Oahu, Hawaiʽi. This summer, the Kellys have planned a surf safari down the West Coast after graduation to take co-op kids and some of the neighbors to Hawai‛i for the Diamond Head Open Surf contest! Deacon, Danny, Randy, Garry, and Rhonda are all contenders! Deacon is a pre-pro-circuit surfer, the first of his kind. When he and his crew participate in the Diamond Head Open, he upsets Laolo, the Hawaiian local bad-boy and three-time Open winner, and is forced to race him in the Island’s ‘Dead Rat Trap’. Their fates on the Island depend on a favorable outcome of that ‘Rat Race’, especially because Garry starts dating Lana, Laolo’s little sister! There’s a love triangle between Deacon and Randy—they both love Cassandra Diamond. Deacon steps up to marry Cassie after Wendy ruins her and Danny’s wedding plans for someone none of them suspected! Deacon’s decision to race costs him dearly, and in the aftermath, the whole Kelly clan finds their real true loves that life-altering summer of 1963. No one will be able to forget Deacon Dean and his mean street machine Darlyne and the endless summer of ’63!

They are usually simple things a piece of news, a trip, a special occasion and yet they linger in the mind and influence us without intention. I remember it clearly I was eight years old when I heard the news Auntie Amal had cancer. The hardest thing is that cancer can be a slow and silent visitor it quietly tiptoes into our lives and gets to work. It begins picking away at our hopes and dreams; invading our privacy, silently taking hold of our homes and families and friends. And when cancer finally controls enough it announces its victory, raising its flag triumphantly over our broken bodies and shattered lives. Homes empty, ambitions scattered to the wind, dreams turned to nightmares that is cancer. Book excerpt: God brought passion into Jon's life at an early age when he saw his very first golf club. This passion turned to love and gave birth to a dream. Fueled by this dream, he worked diligently to one day be a PGA Tour player. However, God's plan for his life did not include professional golf as a participant. Led by the hand of God to a path not foreseen in his childhood dreams, Jon became a teaching professional, teaching the game that he loves. The game of golf has allowed Jon to play and teach the game while moving in career and social circles unimaginable by a boy who grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina. This book contains amazing stories and life-changing occurrences in a journey among some of golf's greatest players, world-class athletes, and Hall of Fame coaches. These include: PGA Tour players Tiger Woods Arnold Palmer Payne Stewart Seve Ballesteros Paul Azinger Phil Rodgers Bob Sowards Helen Alfredsson Top 100 Teacher Fred Griffin College Basketball Coaches Roy Williams Bobby Cremins Jim Valvano NFL Players Brad Johnson Gale Sayers NBA Player Brad Daugherty Television and movie star Bill Murray Chief Communications Officer LPGA/Former host of Golf Channel Kraig Kann The pages of this book represent more than the story of Jon's journey and experiences teaching the game. This book was inspired by a supernatural dream that occurred in his life as a teenage boy where he heard the audible voice of God, spoke with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and felt the power and fury of the Holy Spirit. His wonderful stories around the game and the unique personal stories of these great players and athletes, along with scripture are all woven into a book that will not only grow the game of golf but more importantly glorify God and His son Jesus Christ
