Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I chose this title because of a card I received after my twin sister Joan had passed away. We were separated in the third grade by our teacher. We went to different schools afterwards and stopped dressing alike. That's where my bitterness began. It was like losing my best friend. Upon receiving the card, "When life gives you lemons make lemonade." I knew that's what I needed to do. I wanted to end my bitterness and be better. Joan had several articles published in Gallup, New Mexico. She was able to choose some of my poems that she liked best before she passed. Through prayer and asking God blessed me to write poems. Sometimes I would wake up early in the morning and remember a certain poem that God had put in my heart and I would quickly get up and write it down, so I would not forget it. I have always enjoyed poems that rhyme. Writing poems and making them rhyme gave me much joy. Just writing about life through a poem can uplift, encourage, and perhaps let you see things in a different light. Once you seek and find where your bitterness may have begun you know you can overcome the problem. Trusting and having faith in God can help you discover and remove the bitterness in your life and forgiving those involved. You may also help others through a poem, a song, or words to encourage and brighten their day. This can also let them know that God cares, and you can go from bitter to better. Trust God always.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is for those of you who may be going through trials, challenges, and testing seasons. You may even want to give up due to life’s circumstances. Many of us can feel helpless, stressed, depressed, confused, afraid, unsatisfied, lonely, angry, and hopeless at times because of all of the challenges around us. I have written this book because the majority of my life has been a challenge. I am blessed with lemon trees! What do you do with a normal fruit tree? You eat the fruit or make something out of it, right? Well, I have enough lemonade to feed many. And I am still here. I can be a testimony to others, and so can you. Therefore, if anyone is thinking about the selfish act of suicide, I will just say, “Don’t do it!” It will be too late to say you wish you had not. Think about all those who you will hurt and leave behind. That alone should frighten you! Ask for God’s intervention immediately and then seek other counsel. After you read this book, you may be able to identify with some of my lemons, and then you can write about your own. Whatever the situation is, face it and deal with it, and you will get through it. Life is full of cycles and seasons, like the weather; therefore, this too shall pass. If giving up is not an option, then what are the alternatives? Start with chapter 1, and make a glass of lemonade! “Facing it, always facing it, that’s the way we get through. Face it.” Joseph Conrad

Book excerpt: Poets. Geniuses. Revolutionaries. The members of the legendary band Lemonade Mouth have been called all of these things. But until now, nobody's known the inside story of how this powerhouse band came to be. How five outcasts in Opoquonsett High School's freshman class found each other, found the music, and went on to change both rock and roll and high school as we know it. Wen, Stella, Charlie, Olivia, and Mo take us back to that fateful detention where a dentist's jingle, a teacher's coughing fit, and a beat-up ukelele gave birth to Rhode Island's most influential band. Told in each of their five voices and compiled by Opoquonsett's "scene queen," freshman Naomi Fishmeier, this anthology is their definitive history.
