Tous ces aspects sont liés à la batterie qui ne permet de stocker qu'une quantité limitée d'énergie. Dans ces conditions, il est indispensable de maîtriser les pertes d'énergie de la chaîne de traction. La machine électrique étant le principal consommateur d'énergie, elle joue un rôle important dans l'efficacité énergétique globale. Dans ce contexte, comment réduire les pertes de la machine électrique pour la rendre plus efficace ? Pour répondre à cette question, l'objectif de ce travail est de modéliser (avec une précision suffisante) et réduire les pertes fer dans notre application machine électrique de traction afin de les maîtriser. On comblera ainsi le manque de confiance en les modèles de pertes fer que peut avoir le concepteur de machine du concepteur de machine en lui permettant de réaliser des optimisations fines jusque dans les dernières phases de développement. Dans la première partie de ce manuscrit, le lecteur découvrira alors une machine synchrone à rotor bobiné du point de vue du matériau magnétique doux. Les premières conclusions montrent qu'une modélisation fine est nécessaire pour bien prendre en compte les phénomènes générateurs de pertes. On s'intéresse également à la mesure des matériaux magnétiques doux afin de comprendre de manière générale et tangible les pertes dans le matériau. On prend également conscience de la toute première source d'incertitude des modèles, la mesure du matériau. Enfin, nous présentons les démarches couramment rencontrées dans la littérature pour la modélisation des pertes fer. Face aux limitations des modèles couramment rencontrés, le modèle LS (un modèle d'hystérésis scalaire qui décompose les pertes en une contribution statique et une contribution dynamique) est redéveloppé afin qu'il réponde encore mieux aux exigences de l'industrie automobile. Il est précis et facilement identifiable à partir de mesures faciles à réaliser. La contribution statique reprend le modèle de Preisach formulé à l'aide des fonctions d'Everett dont l'identification à partir des caractéristiques mesurées est directe. La contribution dynamique quant à elle est dorénavant identifiable à partir de caractérisations en induction sinusoïdales. La précision du modèle ainsi améliorée est ensuite validée sur 63 cas tests exigeants dont la forme de l'induction est à fort contenus harmoniques. Le modèle développé est ensuite couplé avec un modèle électromagnétique élément finis de la machine électrique et validé par l'expérience. Les mesures faites sur le matériau étant l'un des points faibles des modèles, une méthodologie permettant d'évaluer la pertinence de la plage des mesures est proposée. On dresse également un état de l'art de l'impact du process (découpage, empilement et assemblage des tôles) sur les pertes fer afin d'aider le concepteur à mettre en balance les impacts liés au process qui n'ont pu être modélisés. Enfin des méthodologies parmi lesquels, les méthodologies des plans d'expériences sont mises en place afin d'optimiser les cartographies de commandes en des temps de calcul raisonnables. On montre des gains allant jusqu'à 50% de réduction des pertes totales de la machine dans certaines zones de fonctionnement par rapport à une optimisation dont l'objectif serait de minimiser uniquement les pertes dans les conducteurs de la machine. Ces résultats montrent l'intérêt d'utiliser un modèle de pertes fer précis afin de réduire les pertes totales de la machine.

Une analyse complète du comportement dynamique des ces tôles est menée, elle met en évidence sa sensibilité à la vitesse de variation de l'induction. Cette analyse conduit, grâce à une séparation des aspects statiques et dynamiques, à la définition d'un modèle d'hystérésis dynamique qui permet une représentation précise des tôles électriques. Le modèle d'hystérésis est ensuite combiné à une méthode d'analyse numérique par éléments finis pour évaluer localement la puissance dissipée par le circuit magnétique de la machine. La méthode est validée dans le cas de machines asynchrones de faible puissance. Une analyse complémentaire dans ce cas précis permet de déterminer d'autres phénomènes dissipatifs responsables de pertes supplémentaires. Ils ont pour origine soit des propriétés intrinsèques des matériaux, comme l'anisotropie, soit des opérations du processus de fabrication, comme les courts-circuits en surface du rotor. La prise en compte de l'ensemble de ces phénomènes a conduit à un modèle qui permet de prédire avec précision le rendement des machines électriques.

Book excerpt: Suite aux directives européennes incitant les constructeurs de moteurs électriques à supprimer de leur offre, les moteurs à faible rendement, une politique de conception de moteurs à haut rendement est engagée. Toutefois, l'évaluation préalable, en simulation, de ce paramètre, et notamment des pertes fer de la machine reste aujourd'hui un problème difficile. Dans cette optique, depuis quelques années, un modèle, nommé " Loss Surface ", de calcul a posteriori des pertes fer sous le logiciel éléments finis Flux2DTM a été développé. Au cours de ce travail, plusieurs améliorations sont apportées à ce modèle LS. Un nouveau banc de caractérisation à partir d'un onduleur de tension performant a permis de prolonger en fréquence la surface dynamique LS. Une nouvelle formulation de l'identification de la contribution dynamique, plus simple, a également été réalisée. Au final, les gains apportés sont conséquents. Deux machines synchrones à aimants aux caractéristiques très différentes ont ensuite été utilisées pour évaluer les améliorations sur des structures complexes. La première machine, nous a permis de tester l'impact du niveau d'induction sur l'évolution des pertes fer, et la seconde machine, l'influence de la fréquence. Deux phénomènes physiques importants ont également été étudiés afin de connaître leurs contributions aux pertes d'origine magnétique : les pertes par courants induits dans un matériau massif tel qu'un aimant, et l'effet sur les propriétés magnétiques des contraintes mécaniques induites par le poinçonnage du circuit magnétique.

L’objectif de ce travail a donc été de valider l’implémentation d’un modèle de pertes fer tout en effectuant une modélisation précise des machines électriques étudiées. Le choix s’est porté sur l’utilisation de modèles de calcul des pertes en post-traitement d’un code par éléments finis. Ainsi, différents modèles analytiques ont été comparés en régime sinusoïdal et non sinusoïdal (sans cycles mineurs) en termes de précision, afin de choisir le plus adapté pour une implantation dans code_Carmel. Par ailleurs, nous avons montré que la prise en compte des cycles mineurs peut être améliorée en remplaçant le terme classique de Steinmetz par un modèle d’hystérésis ou par un modèle analytique adapté. L’implémentation et la précision du modèle analytique ont été évaluées d’abord sur des systèmes simples puis sur plusieurs machines tournantes. La comparaison des résultats simulés avec les mesures issues des essais à vide montre une bonne concordance et démontre la capacité du modèle à estimer les pertes fer avec une bonne précision pour une large gamme de machines électriques et pour les deux types d’alimentations utilisés (sinusoïdale et MLI).
