Daher wird im Rahmen dieser Bachelorarbeit der Frage nachgegangen, inwieweit eine Medienkompetenz von Lehrern Einfluss auf die mediale Bildung von Jugendlichen, im Hinblick auf einen kompetenten Umgang mit Medien, nehmen kann. Nach der Einleitung in die Thematik werden dazu in Kapitel zwei digitale Medien im Lernprozess dargestellt. Selbstgesteuertes Lernen, informelle und formelle Kompetenzentwicklung und die Motivierung von Schülern werden erörtert. Anhand der Möglichkeiten digitaler Medien im Lernprozess soll dann im weiteren Verlauf der Bachelorarbeit analysiert werden, warum es wichtig ist, dass Digital Immigrants eine Medienkompetenz erwerben. Dazu werden in Kapitel drei die Begriffe Medienbildung und Medienkompetenz nach Baacke unterschieden. Dabei umfasst der Medienkom-petenzbegriff nach Baacke die vier Komponenten Medienkritik, Medienkunde, Mediennutzung und Mediengestaltung. In Kapitel vier wird auf die Mediensozialisation der Generationen Digital Immigrants und Digital Natives Bezug genommen. Dazu wird erläutert, welches Medienverhalten, einhergehend mit einer Medienkompetenz, jeweils vorliegt und wo Kompetenzunterschiede auszumachen sind. Im anschließenden fünften Kapitel wird die momentane Situation von digitalen Medien in der Lehramtsausbildung beschrieben, sowie auf die veränderte Lehrerrolle für die mediale Bildung von Schülern eingegangen. Ebenso werden Möglichkeiten des Kompetenzerwerbs von Digital Immigrants erörtert. Anschließend werden in Kapitel sechs die Risiken von digitalen Medien im Lernprozess bei nicht ausreichender Medienkompetenz erläutert. In diesem Zusammenhang geht es um die Gefahren für Schüler, die sich mit der inkompetenten Nutzung des Web 2 0 ergeben. Dazu zählen z.B. das noch nicht anerkannte Krankheitsbild Internet Addiction Disorder und das Cybermobbing. Im Rahmen des Lernprozesses kann das Risiko des Digital Divide auftreten. Bevor die Bachelorarbeit mit dem Fazit endet, wird im siebten Kapitel die Forschungsfrage beantwortet und zusammenfassend dargestellt, wie die Medienkompetenz von Lehrern auf die mediale Bildung von Jugendlichen Einfluss nehmen kann.
