Besonders entscheidend ist dabei aber die Jugend, da er hier besondere Entwicklungsaufgaben im Rahmen der Sozialisation bewältigen muss. Ein Helfer dabei sind Medien, da der Alltag von Jugendlichen stark durch Medien geprägt ist. Bei der alltäglichen Nutzung von sozialen Netzwerken beispielsweise bekommen die Protagonisten in diesen auch einen gewissen Stellenwert für Jugendliche: Figuren der Medien können eine Vorbildfunktion einnehmen und stellen Anregungen für die eigene Identität dar. Genau das wird in dieser Forschungsarbeit untersucht. Die Forschungsfrage dabei lautet "Inwiefern sind Influencer auf Instagram mediale Vorbilder für Jugendliche?". Zu Beginn dieser Forschungsarbeit wird sich dem Ausdruck "Vorbilder" gewidmet werden. Hierbei wird sich auch dem Stand der Forschung zum Thema Jugendliche und mediale Vorbilder zugewendet. Nach Klärung des Begriffs ist es notwendig, die Bedeutung von Vorbildern herauszustellen und zu benennen. Da sich die Bedeutung von Vorbildern mit der Lebensphase des Individuums ändert, muss sich dafür gemäß dem Forschungsinteresse dezidiert mit dem Abschnitt der Jugend beschäftigt werden. Da sich in dieser Forschung explizit mit medialen Vorbildern auseinandergesetzt werden soll, muss die Identitätsentwicklung von Jugendlichen durch Unterstützung von Vorbildern anschließend in einen medialen Rahmen gebracht werden. Dabei wird sich der Mediennutzung von Jugendlichen gewidmet. In diesem Zusammenhang wird näher auf die App Instagram eingegangen, die den medialen Rahmen der Forschungsarbeit darstellt. Nachdem der theoretische Rahmen alle wichtigen Begriffe, Theorien und Erklärungen abgedeckt hat, besteht der nächste Schritt darin, zum methodischen Teil der Arbeit überzuleiten. Beim methodischen Vorgehen wird das Forschungsdesign dieser Arbeit dargelegt: Die Auswahl der Forschungsart und der Forschungsmethode werden beschrieben und begründet. Da in dieser Forschungsarbeit Leitfadeninterviews geführt werden sollen, wird der Leitfaden erklärt und knapp vorgestellt. Außerdem wird die Auswertungsmethode beschrieben. Anschließend wird sich der Durchführung der Forschungsmethode gewidmet und final werden die gewonnenen Ergebnisse dargestellt. Dann wird ein Bezug zu der Forschungsfrage hergestellt, welche durch die Ergebnisse der Forschung beantwortet werden soll. Im Fazit wird das Vorgehen dieser Arbeit reflektiert

Die Arbeit untersucht, warum besonders Kinder und Jugendliche so stark in das Leben der Influencer:innen eingebunden sind und welchen sozialisierenden Einfluss diese haben könnten. Die letzte Arbeit fokussiert sich auf die Selbstdarstellung der Nutzer:innen in den Online-Netzwerken "Facebook" und "Instagram". Zunächst werden die Funktionen dieser Netzwerke zur Selbstdarstellung und Privatheitsregulierung vorgestellt.
