Book excerpt: Cette étude porte sur les mécanismes gouvernant le comportement cyclique et la résistance à la fissuration d'un alliage Ti-Al48-Cr2-Nb2 élaboré par fonderie et par métallurgie des poudres. L'alliage issu de la fonderie présente une microstructure lamellaire alors que celui provenant de la métallurgie des poudres exhibe une microstructure à grains g équiaxes fins. Une caractérisation détaillée du comportement cyclique et des mécanismes de déformation associés montre qu'à température ambiante, le comportement cyclique est gouverné par le glissement de dislocations, la formation de la structure veine ou le maclage. De plus, les structures de déformation développées sont fonction de l'amplitude de déformation totale imposée. A cette température, une relation est établie entre une consolidation cyclique marquée et une déformation par maclage. A 750ʿC, la déformation cyclique est contrôlée par la montée de dislocations. Par ailleurs, l'étude du comportement en propagation révèle que la microstructure à grains g équiaxes fins présente la plus faible résistance à la fissuration. Cette différence de comportement entre les deux microstructures est analysée en terme de résistance intrinsèque, d'effets extrinsèques de fermeture de fissure et d'environnement.
