Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first book of 2 which I will subtitle What if Jesus was born as a Native American? This book, however, is complete in itself. This is a work of fiction, based on the Authors personal Visions and Dreams, Native stories, and the Christian Bible. This takes place in a parallel world that I visited in my dreams. This story is primarily about the courtship of Mary, an Ojibway maiden, by a Portuguese man named Joseph, which results in the birth of a Native Jesus. This takes place in present time (more or less) in a world where the story of Jesus (and the Bible) has been altered through translation and editing and the people can only believe what they are told is the truth by Rome. Rome did not fall, as in our world, and the head of Rome, is an elusive man known only as the Emperor. This Rome was visited by Aliens, Native Spirits from the Star Sirius who foretold of a prophesy concerning the end of the world. There are differences in the way the Natives will deal with the Spiritual story of Jesus. One main difference is the Arrow of Truth. This came from a dream that I had about the same point in time that I wrote a 5 part poem called This is a Circle. It was not until about 2 years ago (present time) that a meditation turned Vision Quest, brought it all together, into this story. ...Steven WinterHawk

Book Synopsis The Diaries of Joseph and Mary by : Dennis McGeehan
Download or read book The Diaries of Joseph and Mary written by Dennis McGeehan and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2014-12-02 with total page 170 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Bible in Matthew and Luke briefly relates how Mary became pregnant with Jesus, how Joseph took her as his wife and then how Jesus got lost in the Temple at age twelve. A few short pages spans the time from before his birth to age twelve, but is there more? The Early Church Fathers thought so. Saint Jerome, Saint Athanasius, Saint Augustine and others gave sermons to their flocks on details left out of Scripture. These stories have been mostly lost to the modern Christian but now are brought to life in The Diaries of Joseph and Mary. Nothing in the Bible about the Nativity is changed, nothing about who Jesus is is changed. Rather the ancient theologians proffered insights surrounding these events and filled in gaps. The Diaries of Joseph and Mary presents the beliefs of the Early Church Fathers on the Nativity in the form of a diary that Joseph and Mary may have kept. It illuminates the events and answers questions like, "Where was Joseph when Mary visited Elizabeth?" In addition the book offers an appendix, 101 Questions and Answers About Saint Joseph that provides the reader with additional details. The questions delve deeper into who Joesph was, indeed who he had to be as the man chosen by God the Father to be the foster-father of His Son on Earth. The reader of this book will find in Joseph a man who all men should try to emulate no matter their vocation in life. Together the Diary of Joseph and Mary and 101 Questions and Answers About Saint Joseph provide a wonderful way to enter more deeply into the message of the Advent and Christmas season. Writing this book my faith has been deepened. My celebration of the Advent and Christmas seasons are more vibrant and alive for me. my hope is that you, the reader, have the same experience.

Book Synopsis Joseph II: An Imperial Reformer for the Austrian Netherlands by : W.W. Davis

This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 339 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It has been said that never has a monarch so narrowly missed "greatness" as did the Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II. An idealistic, sincere, and hardworking monarch whose ultilitarian bent, humanitarian instincts, and ambitious programs of reform in every area of public concern have prompted historians to term him an "enlightened despot," "revolutionary Emperor," "philosopher on a throne," and a ruler ahead of his time, Joseph has also been condemned for being insensitive to the phobias and follies of his subjects, essentially unrealistic, almost utopian, in establishing his goals, and dogmatic and overly precipitous in trying to achieve them. Efforts to analyze and explain the actions of this complex and controversial personality have involved a number of savants in investigations of "Josephinism" (or as I prefer to call it, "Josephism"), dealing in great detail with the motiva tions, substance, and influence of his innovations. The roots of Josephism run deep, but can be observed emerging here and there from the intellectual and political soil that nourished them, before joining the central trunk of the system formulated during the latter years of Maria Theresa's reign to grow to an ephemeral and stunted maturity under Joseph II.

Download or read book Joseph II written by T C W Blanning and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-11-26 with total page 235 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Joseph II (1741--90) -- son and eventual successor of Maria Theresa -- has conventionally been seen in the context of the "Enlightened Despot'' reformers. Today's turmoil in his former territories invites a rather different perspective, however, as Joseph grapples with the familiar and intractable problems of creating a viable unitary state out of his multi-national empire in Central Europe. Professor Blanning's brilliant short study, based on extensive archival research, offers a history of the Habsburg monarchy in the eighteenth century, as well as a revaluation of the emperor's complex personality and his ill-fated reform programme.
