Maggie Welch lives in a crummy apartment while working in a run-down café in Bracken Ridge, Cavern County. Her days have recently been brightened by the handsome cowboy who has started to frequent her workplace. Unfortunately, Aiden Fielding, the wealthy rancher, can't be anything more than a friend, though, as her demise in social standing has robbed her of the confidence and money she once had. Aiden Fielding is smitten with Maggie and enjoys her company at the café, which has recently become his regular haunt. When he finally plucks up the courage to ask her out, they have a wonderful evening. He suspects there is more to Maggie Welch than meets the eye. A crass remark, however, seems to ruin their chances of a future together, and a later attempt to help Maggie ends in disaster when she is humiliated in front of his family and dinner-party guests. Just when things had seemed to be looking up for Maggie, it has all come crashing down again. She realizes that Aiden doesn't see her in the way she had hoped, and when she finds him entertaining her ex-fiancé, Robert Rossington, she feels that he is certainly not the gentleman she had perceived. She knows that Rossington is a cheat and a thief. The trouble is...that's only the half of it.

"Hutchins’ Maggie is an irresistible train wreck—you can’t help but turn the page to see what trouble she’ll get herself into next."Robert Dugoni, #1 Amazon Best-selling Author of My Sister's Grave Live Wire (Maggie #1): Washed-up alt-country-rocker-turned-junker Maggie Killian is pulled to Wyoming by an irresistible force . . . former bull rider Hank Sibley, the man who broke her heart fifteen years before. When she unexpectedly meets his Sunday school-teaching girlfriend at a saloon, Maggie seeks liquor-fueled oblivion between the sheets of a younger man’s bed. But after her beloved vintage truck breaks down and leaves her stranded in the Cowboy State, she learns her hook-up died minutes after leaving their rendezvous. Suddenly surrounded by men with questionable motives, Maggie searches for the murderer while fighting the electricity between herself and her old beau and her new penchant for local whiskey. Sick Puppy (Maggie #2): Junker and former alt-country-rocker Maggie Killian tucks tail back to Texas with Louise, the mutt her bull-riding ex foisted on her in Wyoming after he gave another woman his heart. Maggie runs straight to Gary Fuller—her long time best friend-with-benefits and the biggest Texas country music star since George Strait—but arrives too late to save him from dying in a fire. She just wants to lick her wounds in her own bed with nothing save a bottle for comfort, but Maggie’s short term renter refuses to budge from her home. Soon her small town sanctuary is overrun with Nashville bigwigs, Gary’s trailer park family, and grief-crazed fans feeding the fires of media speculation about the bodies in her wake. Dead Pile (Maggie #3): After Maggie Killian’s junker business goes into the shitter in Texas, the former alt-country-rocker packs up her vintage truck and rescue mutt for Wyoming and a sexy reunion with her ex, Hank Sibley. When she discovers Hank’s foreman unceremoniously dumped on the ranch’s dead pile—the repository for deceased livestock—deputies look no further than the ranch for suspects, especially the young Amish hand, Andy, who received a battlefield promotion of sorts. Because the two have bonded over his guitar lessons, Maggie worries about Andy, even as she is struggling to resolve her suddenly resurrecting musical past, the demolished business in her present, and the complexity of a future with a lover who has suffered from traumatic brain injury since his bull riding days, his disapproving sister, and his Alzheimer’s-stricken mother. ˃˃˃ See why Pamela wins contests and makes best seller lists. Book excerpt: THE ADVENTURES OF MARSHAL GABBY TUCKER VOLUME ONE: "FAMILY TIES IN THE WEST" In this "Western" novel about the Tucker family, their youngest son, "Lefty" had been kidnapped along with three Indian children by two really mean and greedy men who intended on selling them. Lefty was the youngest son of Marshal Gabby Tucker and his wife Maggie. The Tucker family actually consisted of six separate Tucker families, and they each also had boys, so there was no chance of their family name every dying out. The Tucker families join forces with the Indians in an effort to find their missing children. All of the Tucker women join in the search for Lefty also, and are as good with guns as their men and fight by their sides when needed. One of the Tucker women is a doctor and tends to all of the wounded with the help of some Indian squaws and two other Tucker women. The Indians called her "Doctor Jo"; her name was Jo Ann. All concerned thought that she was an incredible doctor. Two of the Tucker women, who were mountain women from Tennessee went out looking for their husbands alone because they were lonely and feared the worst. They could rough the outdoors and terrain because of their "Tom Boyish" style. They loved their flat land men, and wanted to see them alive. The story shows love, compassion, and desperation, but on the flip side of that it also encompasses fighting, shooting, torturing, and killing too. There are so many side scenes along the way through this book; you'll find yourself laughing and then just minutes later you are brought to tears. This is an incredibly great book; you won't be able to put it down! Authors: Jeff and Margaret Pyron Book I.D. # 58247

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One brutal murder. Two possible suspects. And a “fascinating . . . puzzling case” that divided a Michigan community (Lansing State Journal). In the summer of 1982, the body of twenty-year-old Maggie Hume was found under a pile of blankets in the closet of her apartment. A Catholic school girl and daughter of a local football coach, Maggie had been raped and strangled. It was the only active murder investigation in Battle Creek, Michigan, suggesting the case would be an easy victory for authorities. Plus, they already had two persons of interest on watch. Maggie’s neighbor, Michael Ronning, confessed to the crime. Yet it was Maggie’s boyfriend, Jay Carter, who failed the polygraph, and whose account of his whereabouts on the night of the murder kept changing. Unfortunately, the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office and Battle Creek Police Department couldn’t agree on whom to charge. And the city soon took sides. Cracking open three decades of never-before-seen evidence, this real-life whodunit exposes the dark secrets and tragic infighting that turned the murder of Maggie Hume into an unwinnable contest of wills, egos, politics, and the law—a contest that, to this day, isn’t over.

Book excerpt: This is the true story of George and Maggie Wood, a young couple who in 1880, in a fledgling cowtown that sprang up from the dust of the old Chisholm Trail, built the "largest dance house in Kansas". [read that-cat house.] In a formidable two-month trek through the dusty plains of Texas and the "Indian Nations," brash young cowboys drove the longhorns to the railhead at the Kansas state line. There they emerged at Caldwell, Kansas; primed for celebration in that wide-open cowtown fondly known to them as "The Queen of the Border." Wild, wooly and dangerous, in its futile effort to hold a lid on the cowboys' rampant and often times violent revelry, the town ran through 15 marshals in the six year period of the cattle drives between 1879 and 1885. Continuously besieged by murder and depravation, the town was locked in a love-hate alliance with the many dens that catered to the roughshod instincts of the hell-raising cowboys. Festering at the heart of this perpetual bedlam was the number-one attraction of the Border Queen; George and Maggie's Red Light Saloon, the wellspring of murder and violence; and the epitome of debauchery and just plain nasty wickedness.
