Book excerpt: What Spirit has revealed to me, through personal past-life experiences and shared stories, creates a broad picture of how we return to life again and again to experience the world from different perspectives. We have the chance either to heal and grow, or to fail to learn and inflict harm on others. Which of these scenarios occur depends on the choices we make, and the consequences manifest in this life and our lives to come. To know yourself is to know your connection with the divine, and your purpose. This can only become clear when you mature and grow, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Once you are ready, synchronicities happen in your life that you cannot explain, but they serve as validation that you are moving in the right direction and that you are fulfilling your purpose. These events not only validate your path forward, but also make the path easier for you. Because a souls evolution is both a personal and interconnected experience, there is no avoiding a challenge either personally or on a global and societal scale in life. For an individual soul to grow, or for all of our souls to grow as a collective people, we have to go through the dark times and challenges and make it to the other side to develop clarity and healing. This is not an easy task. It takes a lot of courage and faith, both of which are lacking in the society we live in now. However, this does not mean things are hopeless for all people. A lot of the things we are dealing with in our world now are a reflection of the collective and are happening so that we will once again find our faith. We will once again find connection to the unseen world. Our country needs to heal its past with the First People for us all to prosper . . . This book is a courageous step in that process (Jayne Gabrielle, psychic counselor and Reiki master healer).

Book excerpt: Vivo the Magic Bear is a story born from the desire to restore the hope to those who are sad and teach them how to rediscover their dreams and not to give them up again. I’m one of the billions of fans of Michael Jackson. I wrote this book as a tribute in memory of the King of Pop and I dedicate it to his children and fans. I could say that is a message for all those who love Michael Jackson and want him close to their hearts. That’s what I felt when I wrote this book; each paragraph came like a twinkle in my mind in the moment I was thinking about Michael. This book is magical because my inspiration came from magic and the magic is Michael Jackson himself. During the writing of the book, I felt I had to teach the children that each of us has the power to heal ourself and to accelerate healing. The magic of the little bear, Vivo, is supported in reality by the awakening power of self-suggestion, the purpose of healing being in its entirety. The person who will read or listen to the story will look at the little bear Vivo as a hero who can heal all wounds with his magic wing. In a world where it's all about money and power, here on the scene is a book that speaks to you about soul, life, and strength to move forward when you have a thousand reasons to quit. This book is about the friendship between two magical beings who live on an island, and the island is guarded by a good spirit, M-Angel (Michael Jackson), who helps the two friends in their adventures. Vivo has a magical wing, received as a gift from M-Angel, and the wing can heal and bring light. Vivo and Puff are best friends and each has one single wing. Only together can they fly. In this way, the story tells us to be united, so that together we can win. Together we can heal the world, as Michael taught us to do. Vivo will teach children and adults to be tolerant, loving, and brave. When I designed this character, I used the idea that each of us has the power to heal through words, through moral support with love. Children around the world need a hero to teach them to believe in their dreams, to grow and develop through positive thinking, devoid of fear. We must learn to be better, because each of us is a step toward a better world. We are the world and if we want to have loving people and streets devoid of violence, we need to have models to teach us the importance of friendship, love, truth…for all these, Vivo is perfect! There must be a small star to enlighten our souls and to teach us which are the true values of life. We need spiritual light to be better, more tolerant, more loving, to hope, and to believe in our dreams.

Book excerpt: This expressive novel follows John Ryan as he narrates his journey from adolescence to adulthood, detailing his struggles with an oppressive mother, his early sexual confusion and experimentation, and his family's and society's view of homosexuality as a shamefully perversion. It dramatically unfolds with expert attention to emotional nuance and colorful dialogue. The reader is immediately immersed in the darkness and claustrophobia of the narrator's world. The scenes detailing John's sexual experiences are vivid and intense; they are each unique and psychologically revealing. Though Youth is Gone is a compelling and interesting emotional portrait of a boy/man's journey.
