Book excerpt: The following lighting design portfolio is a cumulating work of lighting design throughout my undergraduate career. Through the process of design, I have discovered important details of lighting design as well as details regarding what interests me about lighting design. To show these details, I have chosen images created in three different projects. One project that was selected was the deign of Walt Disney Studios entitled "Enchanting Creativity". This project's goal was to create an environment that sparked creative ideas for its visitors through the light design in the facade, the hallway and the ballroom. The next project was for St. Jude's Research Center entitled "Aspiring Pulse". The scope of this project consisted of the facade, lobby, and atrium. The focus was to provide an atmosphere that allowed the young patients to aspire to live a full life. The last project that was selected was for a plaza in China entitled "Harmonic Call". The goal of this project was to provide a balanced lighting design between new and old while allowing visitor to go on their own journey through the space.
