This book was released on 2014-01-24 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The author of the book 'Life Is Love, Enjoy It!' Mrs. Joy Thomas and her husband ventured to India, looking for a living Master in their quest for Knowledge about the purpose of life. Both, staunch Christians, were from working class families and were brought up by loving parents who valued duty, morality, and service to others. When they first heard of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in 1983, they felt that the ultimate grace that could be won in a life time was showered on them by a miracle. The pure divine sparks in their hearts attracted Bhagawan who showered His divine grace and love and guided them in their spiritual evolution. The words of Bhagawan Baba, ""Life is a challenge, meet it; Life is love, enjoy it; Life is a dream, realise it; Life is a game, play it,"" created immense joy in the author and prompted her to write a series of four books with those divine phrases as titles, under the inspiration of Bhagawan. There are experiences in the book like the one in which the doctor attending to her hot swollen leg was overjoyed one morning, on seeing sudden improvement, and said, ""It is dramatically better."" It was Baba's grace. The leg, which did not respond to any medicine, was cured by her application of vibhuthi over it from a packet that mysteriously plopped on the floor of her room on the previous night, which the doctor was not aware. There are experiences through which lessons were learnt to enjoy life, to expand one's love towards all, to meet challenges in life. She firmly believed that life is love and we can enjoy it. This is the fourth book in the 'Life Is...' series. Each of these books is standalone and can be read without reading the entire series.

Book excerpt: New York Times Bestseller "There is no writer quite like Dolly Alderton working today and very soon the world will know it.” —Lisa Taddeo, author of #1 New York Times bestseller Three Women “Dolly Alderton has always been a sparkling Roman candle of talent. She is funny, smart, and explosively engaged in the wonders and weirdness of the world. But what makes this memoir more than mere entertainment is the mature and sophisticated evolution that Alderton describes in these pages. It’s a beautifully told journey and a thoughtful, important book. I loved it.” —Elizabeth Gilbert, New York Times bestselling author of Eat, Pray, Love and City of Girls The wildly funny, occasionally heartbreaking internationally bestselling memoir about growing up, growing older, and learning to navigate friendships, jobs, loss, and love along the ride When it comes to the trials and triumphs of becoming an adult, journalist and former Sunday Times columnist Dolly Alderton has seen and tried it all. In her memoir, she vividly recounts falling in love, finding a job, getting drunk, getting dumped, realizing that Ivan from the corner shop might just be the only reliable man in her life, and that absolutely no one can ever compare to her best girlfriends. Everything I Know About Love is about bad dates, good friends and—above all else— realizing that you are enough. Glittering with wit and insight, heart and humor, Dolly Alderton’s unforgettable debut weaves together personal stories, satirical observations, a series of lists, recipes, and other vignettes that will strike a chord of recognition with women of every age—making you want to pick up the phone and tell your best friends all about it. Like Bridget Jones’ Diary but all true, Everything I Know About Love is about the struggles of early adulthood in all its terrifying and hopeful uncertainty.

Now the beloved column that has hung on hundreds of refrigerator doors has been cheerily illustrated and designed as a handsome gift book, Eat Less Cottage and More Ice Cream. "Long-time fans of Erma Bombeck will be thrilled to have this favorite column in the form of a beautiful keepsake. Readers discovering Bombeck for the first time will become fans instantly. Book excerpt: NOW AN EMMY-NOMINATED HULU ORIGINAL SERIES • NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • “A stunning novel about the transformative power of relationships” (People) from the author of Conversations with Friends, “a master of the literary page-turner” (J. Courtney Sullivan). ONE OF THE TEN BEST NOVELS OF THE DECADE—Entertainment Weekly TEN BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR—People, Slate, The New York Public Library, Harvard Crimson AND BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR—The New York Times, The New York Times Book Review, O: The Oprah Magazine, Time, NPR, The Washington Post, Vogue, Esquire, Glamour, Elle, Marie Claire, Vox, The Paris Review, Good Housekeeping, Town & Country Connell and Marianne grew up in the same small town, but the similarities end there. At school, Connell is popular and well liked, while Marianne is a loner. But when the two strike up a conversation—awkward but electrifying—something life changing begins. A year later, they’re both studying at Trinity College in Dublin. Marianne has found her feet in a new social world while Connell hangs at the sidelines, shy and uncertain. Throughout their years at university, Marianne and Connell circle one another, straying toward other people and possibilities but always magnetically, irresistibly drawn back together. And as she veers into self-destruction and he begins to search for meaning elsewhere, each must confront how far they are willing to go to save the other. Normal People is the story of mutual fascination, friendship and love. It takes us from that first conversation to the years beyond, in the company of two people who try to stay apart but find that they can’t. Praise for Normal People “[A] novel that demands to be read compulsively, in one sitting.”—The Washington Post “Arguably the buzziest novel of the season, Sally Rooney’s elegant sophomore effort . . . is a worthy successor to Conversations with Friends. Here, again, she unflinchingly explores class dynamics and young love with wit and nuance.”—The Wall Street Journal “[Rooney] has been hailed as the first great millennial novelist for her stories of love and late capitalism. . . . [She writes] some of the best dialogue I’ve read.”—The New Yorker

Tony blogs almost daily words to help fire the drive in people, let all know that life can be great, and ordinary is not dull, but memorable. He relates his childhood, business life, and lessons he learned into stepping stones for everyone to relate to themselves. If there are words that cannot be understood, this could only be a result of either a typographical error or the editor decided upgrade the language. The author is just a normal human being with a basic education trying to reach out to anyone who might benefit from his thoughts. He is not a psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker, or clinical specialist. He is just someone who talks about life as he sees it. Enjoy a relaxing and, hopefully, entertaining read.

Book excerpt: #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A special 25th anniversary edition of the beloved book that has changed millions of lives with the story of an unforgettable friendship, the timeless wisdom of older generations, and healing lessons on loss and grief—featuring a new afterword by the author “A wonderful book, a story of the heart told by a writer with soul.”—Los Angeles Times “The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in.” Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it. For Mitch Albom, that person was his college professor Morrie Schwartz. Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded, and the world seemed colder. Wouldn’t you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you, receive wisdom for your busy life today the way you once did when you were younger? Mitch Albom had that second chance. He rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man’s life. Knowing he was dying, Morrie visited with Mitch in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final “class”: lessons in how to live. “The truth is, Mitch,” he said, “once you learn how to die, you learn how to live.” Tuesdays with Morrie is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie’s lasting gift with the world.

This book was released on 2014-05-10 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: At the young age of 23 Mitch Koppel received a devastating diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Twenty years of extreme health challenges inspired him to express his journey through poetry. These poems immediately went viral with friends and family to the extent that they urged him to create a book about the story and the poetry it inspired. I don't wish MS on my worst enemy; even if I had a worst enemy. Actually, over our 20-year relationship, my worst enemy has been myself all along and I'm not about to give MS to myself one more time. In truth, as counter-intuitive as this may sound, it was recently refreshing to hear that my MS has sort of reached its end game. I heard this in the hospital no less. I won't get any worse because I'm 1% of the folks that have reached a sort of illness finality. I wasn't upset to hear this. I was actually thrilled because never again will I lose sleep over what the disease had in store next; will my limp get worse, will I one day need a walker or, God forbid, a wheelchair? It's all here now; a path of physical and oft times' mental destruction. I have a white flag, but it's never been raised. You see, I'm not defined by MS. I'm not defined by what's next. I'm not defined by its progress. I'm defined, or would like to be defined by breaking down barriers and setting an example for friends and family alike; especially for my boys. I used to agonize, summarize and theorize that I wasn't worthy. Other dads coached sports. I sat aside. Other dads played catch. I sat aside. Other dads would twirl their children in their arms, suspend them in the air and run around in the yard. I sat and stared. Then it hit me: my boys often call without a reason to tell me they love me. Griffin likes to lie on the couch and play a game he made up called, "Five Kisses." It used to be called "Three Kisses", but he wanted more. Instead of self-pity, I try as best I can to live with self-worth. It has had a domino effect on my soul. As the last tile lands forward, the words on it read, "Not today, MS. Not today." Blame games were a symptom of the past. Spirituality has played a major role in turning grief into accepting I have everything else left to live for, smiles to share and love to let grow; this was and is my new awakening. Like many ill or infirmed, the seasons change but hearts and minds may be frozen. In my heart. In my soul. In dark evenings of emptiness inside sunny days where I closed the blinds, the miracle of spirituality found, the quiet of my soul and memories of what I hope to never endure again. Ultimately, like rivers and streams, all things run into one and passes through illness from times long since passed. Each room, every bed and endless ticking of the room's clock began from the basement of time. A fly on the wall could tell countless stories of pain and suffering, of waiting and wondering, of tears and sorrow. Of a belief of a better tomorrow. Those before me leave fingerprints revealing it was their time and place. Some of those fingerprints come to life under every room's bright hospital lights. Beneath the lights are the echoes of their words. I am haunted by hospitals.
