Although Campbell indicates that he is awaiting an answer on the matter from the Secretary of War, he reveals that the funds can be quickly obtained from leftover money allotted for negotiation expenses relative to the Treaty of Indian Springs (February 12, 1825).

Troup is informed that talks between Campbell and the Creeks will resume on February 7, 1825 at Indian Springs in the Creek Nation. He reports that Crowell told him he should tell the chiefs of the Upper Creeks not to cooperate with Creek leader William McIntosh. Hawkins also states that Crowell told him to say everything possible against McIntosh. Henry Crowell told Hawkins that U.S. commissioners tried to bribe him into convincing the Creeks to sell their land. Agent John Crowell then told Hawkins that he and his brother, Samuel Hawkins, should go to collect the Indians while McIntosh is in Washington and destroy his property because of his inclination to sell the Creek land.

Cobb, Alfred Cuthbert, John Forsyth, and Wiley Thompson urges the President to support Georgia's efforts to remove the Cherokees, and the delegation is surprised that Monroe maintains communication with the Cherokees. A remonstrance that was sent by the Georgia delegation to the President was originally enclosed. The referred to remonstrance is most likely tcc032 which also appears on the Southeastern Native American Documents Data.
