La distribution des biens de consommation courante devrait pleinement profiter de l'essor des NTIC grâce à un niveau de service supérieur et une diminution sensible du coût global du service. En effet, l' amélioration des transactions entre acteurs amènera à terme une continuité de la chaîne d'infonnation qui offrira aux fonctions de distribution des perspectives considérables. Cependant, le commerce électronique ne s'étendra que progressivement puisqu'il exige une redéfinition de l'activité de distribution. En effet, la valorisation du potentiel des NTIC requiert plusieurs conditions tant sur le plan humain, que technique et structurel. C'est l'organisation " commugnitive " reposant sur une structure de " marché interne " qui permettra de mener à bien l'indispensable processus d'apprentissage individuel et collectif. L'analyse de cet ouvrage s'inspire du schéma C S C P (Conditions de base - Structure - Comportements -Performance) mais adapté au secteur de la grande distribution alimentaire fortement oligopolistique et initié dans une logique plus dynamique. Une 1ère partie montre en quoi les NTIC modifient les forces concurentielles du secteur avec une analyse es conditions de base, de la structure et des forces concurrentielles. Une 2ème partie s'intéresse à l'impact des NTIC sur les acteurs de la grande distribution à travers leurs performances, leurs organisations et leurs stratégies.
