Doch nicht nur der einzelne Mensch steht einer sich wechselnden Menge an Herausforderungen und Lerninhalten gegenüber, auch Organisationen müssen, wollen sie nachhaltig aktiv innerhalb ihrer Umwelt agieren, ständig neues Wissen erwerben, dieses verarbeiten und in ihre Handlungen integrieren. Auch die Wissenschaft beschäftigt sich seit vielen Jahrzehnten mit dieser Thematik, welche im wissenschaftlichen Diskurs unter dem Oberbegriff des „Organisationalen Lernens“ gefasst wird. Innerhalb dieses, mittlerweile sehr breit gefächerten Forschungsfeldes, findet sich eine Vielzahl an differenzierten Ansätzen, welche sich mit der Frage, was Organisationen wie lernen, auseinandersetzten. Diese Heterogenität der Modelle führt insbesondere auch zu einer Fülle an Auffassungen über den eigentlichen Lernprozess sowie die daran beteiligten Akteure. Eine lerntheoretische Fundierung, welche die einzelnen Lernprozesse innerhalb der Organisationsebenen stringent miteinander in Beziehung setzt, ist in den meisten Konzeptionen gar nicht, oder nur ansatzweise vorhanden. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit besteht darin, organisationales Lernen aus der Sichtweise einer subjektwissenschaftlichen Lerntheorie heraus zu beleuchten und die Frage, wie aus individuellem Lernen organisationales Lernen entsteht, zu beantworten.
