Bishop Lloyd ex plained the matter, and contended for the exclusive, oriental pedigree of the word, in a sermon preached before the King of England, in 1678. Lloyd brings up one very important fact, that the ancient Unitarians, like the modern Romanists, called themselves exclusively the Catholics.
