Book Synopsis The Group and the Unconscious (RLE: Group Therapy) by : Didier Anzieu
Download or read book The Group and the Unconscious (RLE: Group Therapy) written by Didier Anzieu and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2014-09-19 with total page 298 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Originally published in 1984, this is the first published account in English of the development of group psychotherapy in France. Under the leadership of Professor Didier Anzieu, psychoanalysts actively and ingeniously brought psychoanalytical insights to bear upon group process. These methods were widely applied in training groups for mental health professionals, as well as in many other organizations. Anzieu and his colleagues made many advances in understanding the psychology of large-group situations, and these advances contributed to the growing interest in the field. The main aim of the book is to examine the unconscious life of the human group. Professor Anzieu describes the processes of fantasy and imagination that are common to social organizations, training groups and psychotherapeutic groups, and extends the psychoanalytical theory about dreams to the group. He gives an account of the various kinds of group fantasies, such as the group illusion, the group as a mouth, breaking apart fantasies, the group-machine, and the self-destructive group. The book is illustrated by ten clinical case studies, which are vividly described by Professor Anzieu. The interaction of the imaginary processes and the social ideas of the group are also studied, and the theoretical discussion in general reflects the interest of French psychoanalysts in the earliest structures of the mind and of the psychotic level of the personality as it becomes manifest in the group process.

Download or read book Réseaux socionumériques et médiations humaines : Le social est-il soluble dans le web ? written by ROJAS Estrella and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2013-10-01 with total page 295 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis The Power of Belonging by : Sunita Sehmi
Download or read book The Power of Belonging written by Sunita Sehmi and published by Business Expert Press. This book was released on 2021-05-11 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is for anyone who wants to achieve better personal and organizational effectiveness and fruitful business relationships. It is designed to give both the theoretical knowledge and the tools for action if you are to change the power dynamics in your organization. Indeed, to operate in a global environment that is increasingly more relational than transactional, it is vital to cultivate globally competitive leaders to deal with ongoing change and challenges. The Power of Belonging is about addressing the challenge faced by most leaders: how to influence and achieve organizational goals. This is also a book for individuals, especially as they learn that we cannot define ourselves by single dimensions – we are a synthesis of our backgrounds, experiences and philosophies. And we must come as the whole people that we are to form sustainable and meaningful relationships with others around the world. The most difficult lesson to learn perhaps is that belonging will remain a puzzle until we find that it has a personal dwelling place – that we must first belong deeply to ourselves. Ready to be a change agent? Then this book is for you.

Download or read book The Skin-Ego written by Didier Anzieu and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-05-15 with total page 279 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this classic work, the author presents and develops his theory of the importance of 'the Skin-ego'. Just as the skin is wrapped around the body, so the author sees the 'Skin-ego' as a psychical wrapping containing, defining and consolidating the subject. From this perspective, the structure and functions of the skin can provide psychoanalysts and general readers with a fertile and practical metaphor. The author's concept of the Skin-ego is the answer to questions he regards as crucial to contemporary psychoanalysis: questions of topography which were left incomplete by Freud; the analysis of fantasies of the container as of the contained; issues of touch between mothers and babies; extending the concept of prohibitions within an Oedipal framework to those derived from a prohibition on touching; and questions pertaining to the representation of the body and to its psychoanalytic setting. This new translation of Le Moi-peau is based on the second and last (1995) edition.

Book Synopsis Apprentice in a Changing Trade by : Jean-François Perret
Download or read book Apprentice in a Changing Trade written by Jean-François Perret and published by IAP. This book was released on 2011-05-01 with total page 227 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a result of a major research project in Switzerland that brings together the fields of Education and Socio-Cultural Psychology. It is focused on how culture is involved in very concrete educational practices. The reader is invited to follow the research group in a Swiss technical college that trains young people in precision mechanics during a period of major technological change: the arrival of automated manufacturing systems. This transition in the trade is an opportunity to explore the educational and psychological challenges of vocational training from a perspective inspired by activity theory and the consideration of social interactions and semiotic or other technical mediations as crucial to the formation of professional identities and competencies. What are the most appropriate settings for learning? There is no simple answer to this question. What can lead a pupil to become engaged, even if this is within a school, with all the seriousness of a future professional? Under which conditions is an internship in a company genuinely formative? Is it necessary to possess the most recent technologies in order to offer high quality training? What do we know about the relation between doing and knowing in the construction of new competences? How can it be planned and informed to become an object of reflection and make sense in the eyes of the learner? Dealing with such qustions, this study explores new working hypotheses on the manner in which the young experience their training and on the significant role for them of professional specialization.

Book Synopsis Corporate Innovation Strategies by : Nacer Gasmi
Download or read book Corporate Innovation Strategies written by Nacer Gasmi and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2021-03-03 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is simply the maximization of a companys value over time, undertaken because, in the long run, social and environmental problems ultimately become financial problems. The justification for CSR is therefore associated with representing the nature and role of the company, as well as its purpose. Companies therefore regard CSR as a strategic investment that is part of a proactive, resilient, inclusive approach, based on the creation of shared value. This approach is capable of reducing negative societal impacts of their activities, or inducing positive impacts if they sustain a hybrid culture, all the while improving their competitive advantage. This book presents a theoretical development that analyzes the challenges of CSR strategies based on the creation of shared value. Two case studies are presented, analyzing the different forms of social innovation strategies capable of inducing this shared value creation.
