El ensayo concluye con "una nueva visión del absentismo" y entiende que "Estudiar y tratar los índices de absentismo, sin duda, ayudará al empresario a conocer mejor a su propia organización, a detectar mejoras en higiene y seguridad en el trabajo, a promover campañas de prevención de enfermedades, a detectar núcleos de desmotivación o insatisfacción en el lugar de trabajo, a desvelar estilos de mando poco convenientes o carentes de profesionalidad e incluso a prevenir conductas de mando tóxicas".El libro finaliza diciendo: ".............el dedo acusador de las cifras de absentismo debería señalar hacia los equipos de dirección de las empresas y cuestionar su cultura corporativa, pero en ningún caso se debe permitir que este dedo señale a los trabajadores ....................."
