Download or read book Repensar la sostenibilidad written by ENRÍQUEZ SÁNCHEZ José María and published by Editorial UNED. This book was released on 2021-01-11 with total page 556 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Health Networks in Action by : Pinto, Diana M.
Download or read book Health Networks in Action written by Pinto, Diana M. and published by Inter-American Development Bank. This book was released on 2020-09-14 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Integrated Health Service Delivery Networks (IHSDN) based on primary health care (PHC) are the most promising solution for health systems to satisfy the health needs of the population and to address access, efficiency, quality and equity challenges faced by health systems of the world. PHCs essential attributes (people and family centered care, comprehensiveness, continuity, longitudinality) position this approach as one of the key strategies for countries to meet the aspiration of achieving universal health coverage. Creating care networks has been a common thread running through Latin America and the Caribbeans health policy agendas. In terms of actually putting the IHSDN model in action, there is a wide range of interpretations and experiences, with designs, scales, organizational methods, and maturity levels that vary within and between countries. This book shares evidence of the progress made in forming and launching IHSDN in Latin America based on four case studies conducted in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. The results were found by systematically applying an instrument that collects regional information on the context and features of the IHSDNs governance, funding, care models, and IHSDN management models. The books chapters describe the characteristics of IHSDN in the four studied countries, lessons are drawn from how these IHSDN have been designed and implemented, challenges for the future are identified and recommendations are provided on what will it take to consolidate the IHSDN model in Latin America. The hypothetical story of Dioselina, illustrates throughout the book the obstacles and difficulties that arise for a diabetic patient when using health services that are not people-centered. The results shed light on how prepared IHSDN in this region are to provide patient-centered care and where to focus efforts for improvement. The evidence found in this study will help develop and advance PHC in Latin America.

Book Synopsis Sacroeconomía by : Charles Eisenstein
Download or read book Sacroeconomía written by Charles Eisenstein and published by North Atlantic Books. This book was released on 2015-04-14 with total page 577 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Urbanismo Regenerativo written by Landlab and published by Actar D, Inc.. This book was released on 2024-01-23 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We are living in a critical moment, a reality marked by environmental and socio-economic limits that requires innovative and realistic forms of action and planning. This is what regenerative urbanism proposes, a new approach based on utopian pragmatism that seeks to restore balance to the urban territory by designing systems that allow it to adapt and transform. It is a methodology that defines models that do not consume available resources, but rather generate new ones that ensure compatibility between economic and social prosperity and nature. Santander, Hábitat Futuro (Santander, Future Habitat) is the city model created from this methodology, a proposal for the transformation of this city for the year 2055. It is an open model based on innovation and citizen participation that prepares and adapts the territory for the different scenarios to come. Santander, Habitat Futuro is a guide that directs the commitment of the different social, economic and political agents towards a common goal: to achieve a circular, sustainable, resilient, vertebrate, prosperous, vital and inclusive city. A model that, due to its innovative nature, can serve as an example to other intermediate cities around the world.
Book Synopsis The Power of Just Doing Stuff by : Rob Hopkins
Download or read book The Power of Just Doing Stuff written by Rob Hopkins and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2013-06-13 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Something is stirring. People around the world are deciding that the well-being of their community and its economy lies with them. They're people like you. They've had enough, and, rather than waiting for permission, they're rolling up their sleeves, getting together with friends and neighbours, and doing something about it. Whether they start small or big, they're finding that just doing stuff can transform their neighbourhoods and their lives. The Power of Just Doing Stuff argues that this shift represents the seeds of a new economy - the answer to our desperate search for a new way forward - and at its heart is people deciding that change starts with them. Communities worldwide are already modelling a more local economy rooted in place, in well-being, in entrepreneurship, and in creativity. And it works. Packed with inspiring real-life examples of how to change things, this book ties in with the increasing focus on community action during tough economic times. This brilliant book is ideal for schools, community groups and campaigners as well as the general public and Transition groups.

Consequently, there is a growing demand for training in emergent skills to solve problems of different natures, distributive leadership competencies, empathy, ability to control emotions, etc. In this sense, one of the challenges that educators of all different educational levels and training contexts have to face is to foster these skills in their courses.
