Das Hauptaugenmerk liegt dabei auf der möglichen Beeinflussung Jugendlicher durch die multimedialen Inhalte. Hierzu werden strukturelle Rahmungen und vornehmlich entwicklungspsychologische Aspekte jugendlicher Lebenswelten umrissen, welche von rechtsextremen Gruppierungen gezielt genutzt werden, um Jugendliche anzusprechen und zu einer potentiellen Zielgruppe zu machen. Hierbei spielen die Strategien in sozialen Medien eine entscheidende Rolle. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, die Strategien, Narrative und Praktiken der Neuen Rechten in sozialen Medien aufzuzeigen sowie die Anknüpfungspunkte und Schnittmengen jugendlicher Lebensrealitäten darzustellen, worüber sich die Akteure der Neuen Rechten eine Akzeptanz ihrer verbreiteten Inhalte und Ideologien erhoffen. Grundlegend wird sich dieser Thematik über eine Literaturrecherche operationalisiert und durch Studien aus der Medienwissenschaft und Rechtsextremismusforschung textualisiert und ergänzt. Das Ergebnis der Arbeit zeigt, dass die Akteure der Neuen Rechten versuchen, durch metapolitische Erschließung unbesetzter Felder der Online-Welt, gezielt auf die Lebenswelt von Jugendlichen einzuwirken. Auf digitalen Plattformen werden vermeintlich harmlose Narrative benutzt, um Ideologien und Einstellungen subtil transportieren zu können. Die sozialen Medien tragen durch ihre Beschaffenheit und Systeme zu einer Verstärkung bei.

This process is therefore particularly challenging for those involved. This book is proposed by the transdisciplinarity-net, which is a project supported by the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences. It offers a means of designing transdisciplinary research. The tools presented here help structure the research process, in particular with a view to: o adequately reducing the complexity of a problem field, o taking into account the multiplicity of perspectives, o embedding research into the social context, and o adapting concepts and methods in the course of the research process. This publication shows how these tools can be used in the three phases of a transdisciplinary research process: identifying and structuring the problem, analyzing the problem and bringing results to fruition.

A postnational age was announced, and liberalism claimed to have been victorious by the end of the Cold War. At the same time postnational order was proclaimed in which transnational alliances like the European Union were supposed to become more important in international relations. But we witnessed the rise a strong nationalism during the early 21st century instead, and right wing parties are able to gain more and more votes in elections that are often characterized by nationalist agendas. This volume shows how nationalist dreams and fears alike determine politics in an age that was supposed to witness a rather peaceful coexistence by those who consider transnational ideas more valuable than national demands. It will deal with different case studies to show why and how nationalism made its way back to the common consciousness and which elements stimulated the re-establishment of the aggressive nation state. The volume will therefore look at the continuities of empire, actual and imagined, the role of "foreign-" and "otherness" for nationalist narratives, and try to explain how globalization stimulated the rise of 21st century nationalisms as well.
