Book excerpt: Excerpt from Iris of Quality: Surplus Stock From Private Collection; Garden and Price List, 1926 We are propagating the surplus stock from the large private collection of H. S. Jackson. This collection has been developed by its owner primarily. For study and breeding purposes. Most of the European stock has been imported direct from the introducers. We are list ing herewith the entire collection, about 500 varieties, with prices affixed to those which we can supply in 1926. In many cases we can spare from one to two divisions of those not priced. Should you find that the varieties which you wish are among those, let us know. A descriptive catalog and handbook giving personal comments on about 250 of the varieties listed here is in preparation andwill be ready in June just after the blooming season. We are delaying the publication of this in order to give our friends the benefit of our 1926 observations.
