Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are many books in the world but amongst them, only a few are full of mysteries. Woman of Honour is a piece set in pace to unravel the hidden cause behind every successful woman in the tale of mankind. Over time, we have seen how many girl children grow up to become a nonentity which is not the original plans of God for their life. In this series, the potency of feminism will be converse to you. It isn't a book as many would think. Indeed, it's a formula from the Frontiers of Zion set in space to stir up the girls, ladies and women of these last days. Allow me to bring you the words of a great woman–Edoh Judith.O “The very moment I place this book on my fingertips, I began to experience reactions of various kinds taking effect in my bloodstream. I felt with within me; I wasn’t reading an ordinary book other than the compilation of mysteries! I came to realize more than I knew to be a woman when I read this book. It channels the distinctive and unrevealed knowledge I’ve long for throughout the time I’ve spent in this mortal realm. When you go through this book, you will come to discover that they are a lot to all you know. One fascinating thing I find remarkable about this book is that the author communicated it on the platform of Godliness; teaching, revealing, and you know, disclosing the original nature of God to every women, ladies, and even girl child out there. You know what? This edition isn’t for feminist alone but for all. Too, the men can read it irrespective of the theme. I love the part where he linked an honourable woman to a medic whose job is to inoculate the virtue of godliness in her children, also act as a missionary that will aid the moves of the end-time revival even to the edge of the Earth. With all due respect to the reader of the very mysteries set in place, I have the desire to make a simple request; tell more out there about this book. God has sent Stephen on a mission to revamp the lost vibes of feminism back into reality. I’m so proud of his achievement at his young age. Amongst all the books he has written so far, he hasn’t done single research. It’s a grace espoused mandate!” Thank you. Edoh Judith, Mrs.

Book excerpt: A proven blueprint to accelerate career success and fast track into leadership roles—especially for women who are underrepresented in their fields. If you're a woman, especially a woman of color, you know this already: You face unique challenges and obstacles as you work to scale the corporate ladder. From not seeing other faces in the room that look like you to dealing with the stereotypes and (often unconscious) biases in the workplace, you may know what to do to succeed, but not how to get it done in this environment. Show Your Worth shows you how. In pages that are both inspirational and practical, Shelmina Babai Abji speaks directly to professional women—especially women of color—about how the power of being intentional and strategic can help transform the headwinds you face into much-needed tailwinds. Show Your Worth takes you on a deep dive into the 8 Intentional Strategies that will help you achieve success, including: Success: Define what success means to you Attention: Develop your Personal Success Plan Work/Life Balance: Achieve work-life balance in our disrupted world Value Creation: Overcome fear, find your voice, and contribute at your maximum capacity Growth: Seek relevant and meaningful growth Relationships: Connect meaningfully with first-line managers, peers, mentors, and sponsors Leadership Branding: Build and preserve your reputation as a leader Promotions: Be strategic about earning a promotion These Intentional Strategies are imperative for women whose confidence can be chipped away daily when they're overlooked because of negative stereotypes and biases due to differences in race, socio-economic, cultural, or academic backgrounds. Through Abji's personal experiences and the inspiring stories of other successful women who have applied these strategies in their own lives, you will come to deeply understand just how important your voice is and know that your unique value makes you a force in any room.

Book excerpt: Why write a book about intentional women you ask? I have spent many hours listening to tearful, frustrated and discouraged preacher's wives pour their hearts out. Women who honestly want to serve God but have such a load on their shoulders they feel immobilized. These women bear a burden of unrealistic and even unbiblical expectations. I want this book to be one that will help lift that load. I hope to present a biblical "expectation"; I want to honor and praise these sisters for the hard role they fill so very well. Then, having been a preacher's wife for over thirty years, I hope to add some tips, stories and advice that will help them to be God's person in their unique spot. The struggle to find how God wants us to fit in the kingdom does not just occur with preacher's wives, however. I find that many women don't know what God has gifted them to do. So, this book is for all Christian women. I pray all women will find things in this book to enable them to shine for Jesus. I hope to talk about how we can strengthen ourselves spiritually so that we can take Satan on in life's spiritual battle. I will cover topics such as spiritual nutrition, marriage, parenting, mission work, hospitality, and how to remain content. I have also asked many female leaders to share with me their advice, their heartaches, their victories and their heroines' stories. These are women whose walk I admire and try to emulate - not perfect women but ones who know that the power is God's and that whatever we do we do only because He enables us.I pray that women will leave the reading of this book better prepared to keep on keeping on. I hope to do what Hebrews 10:24 tells us to: "Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works." My prayer is that this book will help us all be the women God intended us to be. Becoming this woman doesn't just "happen." We won't drift into being godly women. It has to be intentional. And so I give you this book of what I have gleaned from 60 years of living, the wisdom of my heroines of faith and most importantly God's precious love letter to us in his word. There can be no better manual for the intentional Christian woman.

Book excerpt: Self-initiation is killing our young men. Without strong mentors, boys are walking alone into a wilderness of conflicting messages about who they should be as men. It's no wonder that our sons are confused about what the world expects from them and what they should expect of themselves. The Intentional Father is the antidote. This concise book is filled with practical steps to help men raise sons of consequence--young men who know what they believe, know who they are, and will stand up against the negative cultural trends of our day. Jon Tyson lays out a clear path for fathers and sons that includes specific activities, rites of passage, and significant "marking moments" that can be customized to fit any family. It's not enough to hope our sons will become good men. We need them to be good at being men. This book shows how fathers, grandfathers, and other male mentors can lead the way.

Anthropological research on learning in childhood has been scarce, but this book will change that. It demonstrates that anthropologists studying childhood can offer a description and theoretically sophisticated account of children's learning and its role in their development, socialization, and enculturation. Further, it shows the particular contribution that children's learning makes to the construction of society and culture as well as the role that culture-acquiring children play in human evolution. Book excerpt: Psychoanalysis is often equated with Sigmund Freud, but this comparison ignores the wide range of clinical practices, observational methods, general theories, and cross-pollinations with other disciplines that characterise contemporary psychoanalytic work. Central psychoanalytic concepts to do with unconscious motivation, primitive forms of thought, defence mechanisms, and transference form a mainstay of today's richly textured contemporary clinical psychological practice. In this landmark collection on philosophy and psychoanalysis, leading researchers provide an evaluative overview of current thinking. Written at the interface between these two disciplines, The Oxford Handbook of Philosophy and Psychoanalysis contains original contributions that will shape the future of debate. With 34 chapters divided into eight sections covering history, clinical theory, phenomenology, science, aesthetics, religion, ethics, and political and social theory, this Oxford Handbook displays the enduring depth, breadth, and promise of integrating philosophical and psychoanalytic thought. Anyone interested in the philosophical implications of psychoanalysis, as well as philosophical challenges to and re-statements of psychoanalysis, will want to consult this book. It will be a vital resource for academic researchers, psychoanalysts and other mental health professionals, graduates, and trainees.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Black women work twice as hard to have a seat at the infamous table. The table that once we have a seat at, we are told to be grateful for or else we could lose it—back to the kitchen, preparing meals that we may never have the pleasure of sitting down and enjoying. We are given no plate. No utensils. No napkin to clean up those accidental spills. Instead of waiting for a seat at a table where we would have to compromise our stories or have them told by those who have not walked our paths, we decided to build our own table and invited some of our sisters to sit with us and indulge in its spread. This book is an anthology of the various trials and triumphs 11 Black women encountered while working in the student affairs sector of higher education. We are connected by our experiences navigating in spaces where we have sometimes felt disempowered but we have learned the trade of maneuvering in a professional environment, and world, dominated by white people. This is just the beginning. We will be adding more chairs, assembling more tables and inviting others in our communities to have a seat where they’d like. No more unfulfilled appetites and unseasoned dishes. No more scrapes from biting our tongues. At this table, we define spaces. We center conversations. We invite fellowship. We serve you food for your soul and truth elixir for your thirst.

Book excerpt: Intentioning by best-selling author Gloria Feldt will help you envision the life and career you might have thought were impossible dreams, then give you the courage and actionable tools to achieve them. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and a pandemic of racial injustice that together shook our world to its core and revealed deep fault lines in our culture, Gloria Feldt, New York Times best-selling author, speaker, commentator, international leadership expert, successful CEO, and feminist icon, shows how we can seize the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity created by massive disruption to build back stronger with diverse women at the center of the recovery. In Intentioning: Sex, Power, Pandemics, and How Women Will Take The Lead for (Everyone’s) Good, Feldt inspires diverse women to embrace their personal power to lead with intention, confidence, and joy. It comes as no surprise to her that women flexed their formidable muscles when needed most, representing a disproportionate number of essential workers during the darkest days of the coronavirus global outbreak and leading the charge against racism in the United States. But this book is decidedly about the future, taking the leadership lessons learned from this disruption and creating a better world for all. Feldt not only unveils the next step in advancing gender parity in all spheres of business and life, but she also lays out the vital next steps in the overall advancement of our economy and our civilization. The “Lead Like a Woman” framework and the “9 Leadership Intentioning Tools” she presents in this book will prepare, motivate, and propel women of all diversities and intersectionalities now so that by 2025, women will have attained their fair and equal share of leadership positions across all sectors of industry and society. We simply cannot squander women’s talents when so much hangs in the balance. Women must be at the vanguard of reimagining and reconstructing a vibrant and sustainable future for us all.

Fourteen-year-old Joan Skraggs, just like the heroines in her beloved novels, yearns for real life and true love. But what hope is there for adventure, beauty, or art on a hardscrabble farm in Pennsylvania where the work never ends? Over the summer of 1911, Joan pours her heart out into her diary as she seeks a new, better life for herself—because maybe, just maybe, a hired girl cleaning and cooking for six dollars a week can become what a farm girl could only dream of—a woman with a future. Newbery Medalist Laura Amy Schlitz relates Joan’s journey from the muck of the chicken coop to the comforts of a society household in Baltimore (Electricity! Carpet sweepers! Sending out the laundry!), taking readers on an exploration of feminism and housework; religion and literature; love and loyalty; cats, hats, and bunions.

Book excerpt: John C. Maxwell, #1 New York Times bestselling author, helps readers take the first steps to living a life that matters inIntentional Living. We all have a longing to be significant. We want to make a contribution, to be a part of something noble and purposeful. But many people wrongly believe significance is unattainable. They worry that it's too big for them to achieve. That they have to have an amazing idea, be a certain age, have a lot of money, or be powerful or famous to make a real difference. The good news is that none of those things is necessary for you to achieve significance and create a lasting legacy. The only thing you need to achieve significance is to be intentional. And to do that, all you need to do is start. You can't make an impact sitting still and doing nothing. Every major accomplishment that's ever been achieved started with a first step. Sometimes it's hard; other times it's easy, but no matter what, you have to do it if you want to get anywhere in life. In Intentional Living, John Maxwell will help you take that first step, and the ones that follow, on your personal path through a life that matters.

This book was released on 2009 with total page 174 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Arguing for the centrality of the female criminal subject to the rise of the British novel, Kirsten Saxton compares representations of homicidal women in legal documents with those in the early novels of Behn, Manley, Defoe, and Fielding. She demonstrates that legal narratives informed the novel's evolution and fictional texts shaped the development of legal narratives, and suggests that Augustan configurations of the murderess continue to influence our legal and social conceptions of femininity.
