A avaliação assistida permitiu identificar variações individuais quanto à necessidade de ajuda e monitoramento na resolução de problemas cognitivos e diferenciou crianças que não apresentavam eficiência na solução de problemas, requerendo muita ajuda da examinadora, daquelas que, após uma ajuda mais prolongada, típica de intervenção psicopedagógica, revelaram sensibilidade à instrução adicional da examinadora a conseguiram uma alteração positiva no seu desempenho em resolver a tarefa proposta. Os achados desse estudo trazem contribuições para a compreensão de dificuldades e recursos cognitivos da criança com queixa de dificuldade de aprendizagem e da sua necessidade diferencial de assistência e monitoramento em situação de ensino-aprendizagem.
