Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this we profile the lives and explore the legacies of some of the biggest photography luminaries to have ever lived and worked on the planet. The precursors of fashion photography go back to the 18th century, when images of fashionable clothes were printed in magazines and often hand-coloured. Paris was, at that time, a centre for the production of such magazines, many of which were imported into England. The technique of photography was developed in the 1830s, but it wasn’t until much later that the métier of fashion photography came into existence. The earliest popular photographic technique, the daguerreotype, could not be used for mass printing. A later technique enabled the production of the ‘carte de visite’, which were made for individuals and which also depicted famous theatre and music hall personalities of the age. It wasn’t until advances in halftone printing techniques that fashion photographs came to be featured in magazines. This happened in about the first decade of the 20th century. Now when we see famous designer brands in advertisements and catalogues, what we are really seeing is the artistry of the image-makers who stand behind the camera. What we don’t see is their names. Personal opinion will decide who were the greatest photographers of all time, but in the minds of many experts, a special few could be singled out. We have recently just seen the passing of an era, as Corinne Day, Richard Bailey, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Horst P Horst, Irving Penn, Herb Ritts, Robert Mapplethorpe, Norman Parkinson are all no longer with us, but their legacy, like that of historic monuments, lives on. Their epic images will forever capture a feeling of their times. Our two Immortals editions detail some of the most enduring and famous names in photography, all of whom are no longer with us. In this book we look at the lives and legends of; Robert Doisneau Horst P Horst Robert Mapplethorpe Helmut Newton Norman Parkinson Irving Penn Man Ray Herb Ritts Fashion Industry Broadcast’s “MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY” is a series: MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY – Vol 9 Living Legends MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY – Vol 10 Living Legends MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY – Vol 11 Immortals MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY – Vol 12 Immortals MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY – Vol 13 Australians MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY – Vol 50 Living Legends MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY – Vol 51 The Muse MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY – Vol 52 Gen Next Fashion Industry Broadcast is the number one destination on the web for the latest in fashion, style, creative arts, creative media, models, celebrity biographies and much more. Book excerpt: Praise for Frankly in Love: A New York Times Bestseller and #1 Indie Bestseller An Amazon.com Best Book of the Year Five Starred Reviews "Extraordinary . . a beautifully layered novel about first love, tribalism and that brief, magical period when kids have one foot in high school, one foot out the door. . . Yoon explores themes of racism, forgiveness and acceptance without getting earnest or preachy or letting anyone off the hook. And there's a universality to the story that cuts across cultures." -New York Times From bestselling author David Yoon comes an inventive new romantic comedy about identity, perception, and how hard it can sometimes feel to simply be yourself. When Sunny Dae - self-proclaimed total nerd - meets Cirrus Soh, he can't believe how cool and confident she is. So when Cirrus mistakes Sunny's older brother Gray's bedroom - with its collection of electric guitars and rock posters - for Sunny's own, he sort of, kind of, accidentally winds up telling her he's the front man of a rock band. Before he knows it, Sunny is knee-deep in the lie: He ropes his best friends into his scheme, begging them to form a fake band with him, and starts wearing Gray's rock and roll castoffs. But no way can he trick this amazing girl into thinking he's cool, right? Just when Sunny is about to come clean, Cirrus asks to see them play sometime. Gulp. Now, there's only one thing to do: Fake it till you make it. Sunny goes all-in on the lie, and pretty soon, the strangest things start happening. People are noticing him in the hallways, and he's going to football games and parties for the first time. He's feeling more confident, in every aspect of his life, and especially with Cirrus, who's started to become not just his dream girl but also the real deal. Sunny is falling in love. He's having fun. He's even becoming a rocker, for real. But it's only a matter of time before Sunny's house of cards starts tumbling down. As his lies begin to catch up with him, Sunny Dae is forced to wonder whether it was all worth it - and if it's possible to ever truly change. Frankly in Love: "With echoes of John Green and To All the Boys I've Loved Before, it's poised to be the biggest YA debut of the year." -Entertainment Weekly "Yoon's fresh and nuanced approach to Frank's struggle to navigate cultural tensions amplifies both the vulnerabilities and the strengths that can come with being a child of immigrants. . . Yoon underscores the value of honoring both who you are and where you come from." -TIME Magazine "Yoon's stellar debut expertly and authentically tackles racism, privilege, and characters who are trying to navigate their Korean-American identity." -BuzzFeed

Book excerpt: Paper dolls might seem the height of simplicity--quaint but simple toys, nothing more. But through the centuries paper figures have reflected religious and political beliefs, notions of womanhood, motherhood and family, the dictates of fashion, approaches to education, individual self-image and self-esteem, and ideas about death. This book examines paper dolls and their symbolism--from icons made by priests in ancient China to printable Kim Kardashians on the Internet--to show how these ephemeral objects have an enduring and sometimes surprising presence in history and culture.

Book excerpt: Blockchain and cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin have hogged the headlines for a long time. But after the hype and the money, there is a lot of technical work to be done, and developers in particular need to understand in some depth what foundations they are actually building their project on. There is quite a bit of basic to work in the Block chain which we have to understand, and the general security in p2p networking demands of Blockchain, before diving into the first Blockchain project. All these concepts are explained by simple concepts from scratch. Cryptocurrencies and decentralized applications are extremely popular, but not well understood technically, which is why we are presenting the classifications of all the cryptocurrency topics. This opens the Blockchain application categories, which helps to choose a blockchain use case, followed by a chapter on how to optimize and enhance a Blockchain application. Security is always a concern in decentralized application, which is why we tried to address all the visible concerns in the blockchain technology space and help to build a secure blockchain.
