Book excerpt: L’autentico uomo di fede, nell’elaborazione e nell’approfondimento della sua relazione con Dio, è da sempre drammaticamente dilaniato da un dubbio profondo: a Dio è in qualche modo possibile pervenire anche con la sola forza della ragione umana (analogia entis) o tutto ciò che di Lui possiamo sapere è solamente quanto accogliamo nel Revelatum (analogia fidei)? Potremmo dire che intorno a questa domanda si è decisa l’intera storia della teologica cristiana occidentale. Ed è proprio a questa esigenza, ovvero a quella di raggiungere Dio con la nostra ragione, che viene in soccorso l’analogia entis, che però non ha in alcun modo la pretesa di esaurire al proprio interno la conoscenza di Dio, e cioè di comprenderlo per come egli è. Essa custodisce piuttosto in sé il desiderio di rinvenire quel qualcosa di comune al Creatore e alla creatura per il cui tramite l’uomo possa finalmente essere in grado di pensare la relazione d’amore originaria che lo ‘lega’ a Dio. E solamente nel pensarsi immersa in questa relazione con il Creatore la creatura riesce a pensare qualcosa di quest’ultimo. Nel pensiero di questa relazione sta infatti quel poco che con la nostra ragione siamo in grado di pensare di Dio. Ma questo poco, a ben vedere, è proprio ciò che, stando a Tommaso d’Aquino, ci rende felici. L’allegria della mente che consegue al pensiero di Dio (genitivo oggettivo) si fa però autentica beatitudo solo nel pensiero di Dio (genitivo soggettivo) reso manifesto nel Revelatum. Questi due movimenti non si escludono affatto: l’analogia entis in un certo senso precede e prepara il terreno all’analogia fidei, che, nel suo affacciarsi all’interno del discorso teologico, non vanta alcuna pretesa egemonica. Potremmo pertanto affermare che un pensiero di Dio (genitivo oggettivo) è non solo analogicamente possibile, ma anche necessario, consci però del fatto che il Deus-Esse incontrato può assumere il volto del Qui est solamente se ci si apre alla prospettiva dell’analogia fidei.

Così la radicalità del male nel suo non-senso si vede rinviata all'origine del senso, cioè a Dio. Questo è il punto più difficile, temerario e tuttavia penetrante, dove Pareyson cerca di mostrare come proprio individuando in Dio la possibilità, da Dio stesso scartata da sempre e per sempre, del male, si possa comprendere l'irrevocabile, eterna, originaria positività che è il Dio cristiano.
