La struttura 'semplificata' non si traduce in figure meno complesse; è qui che l'autore aiuta con la sua analisi. Quindi, con i riti alternativi, si consente un adattamento del procedimento ai possibili oggetti di giudizio (es: non si deve trattare con lo stesso metodo processuale il reato bagatellare e quello di criminalità organizzata). Con un profondo lavoro, l’Autore ha registrato tutti i meccanismi, che consentono il funzionamento dei riti alternativi, soffermandosi con attenzione sia sui più recenti inserimenti legislativi nel corpus codicistico, quale ad esempio il nuovo presupposto del giudizio direttissimo, di cui al comma 1-bis dell’art. 453 c.p.p., introdotto dall’art. 2 d.l. 23 maggio 2008, n. 92, convertito in l. 24 luglio 2008, n. 125, nonché i più recenti approdi giurisprudenziali. In conclusione, l’Opera di Luigi Grilli rappresenta un valido strumento di supporto nella soluzione delle operazioni esegetiche che di volta in volta dovranno essere affrontate dall’interprete e si segnala, pertanto, ai magistrati, agli avvocati e, in genere, agli studiosi del processo penale, ai quali offre, oltre ad una documentazione completa, risposte adeguate ai problemi più complessi e pregevoli spunti di riflessione.
