Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the author of Shields of Strength, “a gift that could radically change every interaction and relationship you have” (Reg Lloyd, Pastor, Praise Church, Beaumont TX). What is the opposite of love? Many would say hate, but studying the Bible reveals that it is actually fear. Fear leads us to make harmful decisions and live unproductive, unhappy, and unfruitful lives. Love is the key to a fruitful life, but love must be more than a feeling. Love must be an action, a choice. Choosing love over fear is the most powerful choice we can make. Kenny Vaughan brings this timeless discussion back to the forefront of our spiritual exploration by teaching us to view life as a fruit-bearing tree. When we feed the roots with love, the tree flourishes, and we enjoy the blessings that grow upon it. If we deprive our roots, however—if we allow fear to cut us off from love—then the whole tree withers and dies. Utilizing both Scripture and anecdotes from modern life, The Right Fight teaches us how to tend our roots, grow our fruit, and, through the grace of God, cast fear out for good. “The Right Fight will hold your attention and challenge your perspective and application of love.”—Reg Lloyd, Pastor, Praise Church, Beaumont TX

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We were created by God to live a life of righteousness, peace, and joy in fellowship with Him regardless of circumstances (Genesis 1-3). Instructions for living the life He created us to live are found in the Old Testament. The Gospels are the accounts of Jesus both living and teaching us how to live the life of righteousness, peace, and joy in fellowship with God.Jesus' death on the cross as the atonement for our sin of 'rejection of living the life God created us to live' gives us another chance to live the life of righteousness, peace, and joy in fellowship with God. The First Adam, even on behalf of all unborn generations, missed the mark, but the Second Adam, Jesus Christ, has restored us to this blessed fellowship with the Father of light. The Epistles or Letters in the New Testament are additional instructions given by the Holy Spirit to those who have believed on Jesus to live the life God created them to live. The book of Revelation is an account of those who reject the life of righteousness, peace, and joy in fellowship with God and those who have been given another chance through faith in Jesus Christ to live the life God created them to live. Revelation concludes with an eternal separation from God for those who reject God's blueprint for Christian living; and an eternal kingdom, the New Jerusalem, for those who choose the life of righteousness, peace, and joy in fellowship with God.There are two levels of righteousness, joy, and peace in fellowship with God as documented in the New Testament. Justification is the first level and is received when we repent of rejecting God's plan for our life and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who died as a substitute for our rejection of that life.Justification is not only being forgiven for rejecting the life God created us to live, but it is being restored to the life of righteousness, peace, and joy in fellowship with God as though we had never rejected it. We are righteous by faith, have peace with God , and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:1-2)--righteousness, peace, and joy in fellowship with God.Sanctification is the second level of righteousness. Justification is being restored to the life God created us to live in fellowship with Him. And, sanctification is living the life of righteousness, peace, and joy in fellowship with God.The first level of the life God created us to live is found in Romans 5:1-2, and the second level is found in Matthew 5:6, 9, 11-12. The righteous on the first level are justified or righteous by faith (Romans 5:1). On the second level, they are hungering and thirsting after righteousness (Matthew 5:6). Those who have peace with God in Romans 5:1 are peacemakers in Matthew 5:9, and those who rejoice in the hope of the glory of God in Romans 5:2 are the ones rejoicing in the times of persecution in Matthew 5:11-12.Rejoicing in the times of persecution (Matthew 5:11-12) is an example of living the life of righteousness, peace, and joy in fellowship with God regardless of circumstances. The apostles obeyed the commandment and rejoiced in the times of persecution (Acts 4:24-31; 7:54-60; 16:16-25).In Romans 8:35, Paul asks, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?" Then, he lists some of the things that happen to those who are living the life God created them to live.Paul concludes chapter eight by writing that nothing shall be able to separate those living the life God created them to live from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Each chapter of How to Live a Life of Righteousness Peace and Joy REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCES is an amplification of the two levels of righteousness, peace, and joy in fellowship with God--justification and sanctification. The transition from justification to sanctification is explained through God calling the justified to be disciples (Matthew 28:18-20), priests (Revelation 1:5-6), ministers of reconciliation, and ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).

Book excerpt: Is it crazy to want a happy life? The host of Jesus Is Real Radio and Hillsong Channel’s Real with Daniel Fusco unlocks the happiness we long for in the most famous teachings of Jesus and the apostle Paul. “Don’t just skim through this book quickly. Savor it and discuss it with a friend. Your personal happiness is at stake.”—Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life, from the foreword Dissatisfied with your life? Yeah, most of us have been there. There’s no shame in wanting to be happy, but real satisfaction often eludes us. At best, what fleeting happiness we find tends to dribble away in never-ending debts, stressful deadlines, and mindless scrolling. At worst, it’s chased away by anxiety, depression, or fallout from our selfishness. Here’s the truth: whether we hunt for happiness in parties, bars, the workplace hustle, or even in church pews, we’ll wind up shortchanged. Why? Because we don’t see our lives as beautiful. But God wants something better for you—happiness so real this world might think it’s too good to be true. In Crazy Happy, Daniel Fusco unpacks fresh connections in two of the Bible’s most familiar passages—secrets of happiness that can really, truly, honest-to-goodness change things. If you stick around for the ride, you’ll find the kind of God-given beauty that can change your life for good—even in our sometimes-crazy world.

Book excerpt: The Divine Dance has become a classic for fans of Richard Rohr and an important book on Christian mysticism, it provides a fresh perspective for anyone studying or teaching the trinity. The Trinity is the central doctrine of Christianity, but it is still widely considered a mystery we won't ever fully understand. Should we still try to understand it, even so? If we could, how would it transform our relationship with God? In this stimulating and thought-provoking book, internationally recognised teacher Richard Rohr explores the nature of God and the paradoxical idea of the Holy Trinity as both three and one. With clear, surefooted wisdom, he encourages us to build on the early Christian understanding of the relationship between Father, Son and Spirit as a flow and dance - a Divine Dance - that we are invited to join in. An engaging, accessible look at the nature of God, The Divine Dance will challenge the way you think about the Trinity and give you a much fuller understanding of the triune relationship that is at the heart of Christian doctrine. It will leave you with a faith that is renewed and strengthened, and show you how you can engage more deeply in your relationship with God and the world through the Trinity.

Book excerpt: Living Righteous, a lesson from God is an inspired instructional manual designed to teach every Christian how to be 'in' the world without comprising one's self and becoming 'of' the world. There are three components for righteous living, Humility, Resisting Sin and Focusing on God. Each component is a breakdown designed to help to put into practice God's blueprint for His children to lead righteous lives. "When the time came for me to emerge into my new life, going from a baby Christian to a more mature Christian, I had no idea what to expect," says Ken Jackson, "I was blessed in that I had the opportunity to experience wilderness time with God. Even knowing that it would come to an end, God slowly began the re-acclimate me back into the world, where I would live more than just the right way, I would live the righteous way." Living Righteous takes biblical principles and creates a how-to model for Christians. "Consider it a tutorial for walking in love in a world that is loveless," proclaims Jackson. Righteousness, as we live and breathe, is continual and never-ending. It is a process. A process that takes a lifetime and along the way there will be trials and tribulations, but Jesus instructed each and every follower of his teaching to be of good cheer for he overcame the world that in him we can have peace, John 16:33. And that's really what Living Righteous is about, having peace.
