Later, I hunted West, and at last found a camp home in the glorious Rocky Mountains, whose wild scenery and abundant game made me forget for a time that civiliza tion had any claim upon me. Trappers and miners, Indians and half-breeds, have all been my fellow-comrades, and in roughing it with each I have lived and gloried in all the varied experiences of a hunter's and trapper's life.
