From the number of officers who received the clasp for Nive it would seem probable that the regiment, or at least some portion of it, was in action at Nive, though the name is not borne amongst the honours on the colours. APPENDIX E. Lieut.-Colonel Oliver Nicholls, who commanded the regiment from 1788 to 1795, was presented by the Corporation of Wexford with a gold medal for services rendered in 1793 to the town. On the obverse are the arms and motto of the town of Wexford.
