Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: • Analyzes the syncretic magical system of Voudon Gnosticism and the traditions from which it is sourced • Explains the practices of Voudon Gnosticism in detail, including how to speak with the Lwas (spirits) and establish relationships with them • Explores the history of Voudon Gnosticism and significant teachers like Martinez de Pasqually, Lucien François Jean-Maine, and Michael Bertiaux The Voudon Gnostic system—a unique melding of Haitian Vodou with Gnosticism, Martinism, and other traditions—is one of the most creative and rich ways to explore magic. Providing a comprehensive introduction to this complex magical tradition, Frater Vameri explores its history and practices, initiating novices and more advanced readers into his own Voudonist world and the tradition’s conceptions of life and death. Vameri begins by exploring the founding and evolution of the system from its origins in Haiti to its séances in Chicago, including significant teachers such as Martinez de Pasqually, Lucien François Jean-Maine, Papus, and Michael Bertiaux. He looks at Voudon Gnosticism’s early connections with Caribbean Martinist colonies, the Black Templars, Paschal Beverly Randolph, the Ordo Templi Orientis Antiqua, and the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor. The author explains how the lwas of Voudon Gnosticism are the same spirits found in traditional Haitian Vodou, yet approached differently. He explores how to learn to speak with the lwas, establish relationships with them, and profit from their revelations. He examines the Hoodoo system of the Voudon Gnosticism tradition and details how to build a Hoodoo altar as well as an atua, or spirit house, for adepts who have decided to establish enduring relationships with the spirits. Presenting a practical guide to this unique system, Vameri not only enables you to understand the history and intricate mechanisms of Voudon Gnosticism, but also reveals how to build your own magical universe with the help of Les Vudu.

In his book The Life of Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin, on page 9, the historian Jacques Matter writes about him: "He (Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin) met Martines de Pasqually, one of these extraordinary men, great hierophant of secret initiations which, to communicate their mysteries, seek less the great reputation than a confidential setting." Book Synopsis Of Memphis and of Misraim, the Oriental Silence of the Winged Sun by : Milko Bogard

This book was released on 2018-10-04 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers a historical study of the Masonic "Rite of Memphis-Misraim", allegedly established in 1881. The "Rite of Memphis" and the "Rite of Misraim" were originally separate bodies that originated in the first half of 19th century France. The Rite often refers to Cagliostro (1743-1795), an Italian alchemist, Freemason, healer, and "a key figure of his time", who allegedly gave the organization the impulse necessary for its development. This Masonic system of "High Degrees" is sometimes known as "Egyptian Freemasonry" due to the invocation of Hermetic derived esoteric symbolism that is filled with alchemical, occult and Egyptian references. These degrees blend Christian, Kabbalistic, Neo-Platonic, Pythagorean mysteries, and beyond, within a single Rite of 90 degrees. "Of Memphis and of Misraim, the Oriental Silence of the Winged Sun" is one of the most comprehensive books of its type ever published in the English language. That's why this book is so engaging, with some 400 pages, unveiling the stream of Hermes that passes through Masonry, from the soul of Cagliostro onto the various Egyptian Rites today... Contents:1] FRANC-MAÇONNERIE - THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH GRADES IN FRENCH MASONRY DURING THE 18TH CENTURY2] ON THE ORIGINS OF EGYPTIAN MASONRY, CAGLIOSTRO 3] RITE DE MISRAÎM 4] RITE DE MEMPHIS 5] THE CARBONARI AND THE ORIENTAL RITE 6] JOHN YARKER AND THE ANTIENT AND PRIMITIVE RITE OF MASONRY 7] 1881 - THE ANCIENT AND PRIMITIVE RITE OF MEMPHIS-MISRAÎM 8] 1934 - THE EGYPTIAN RITE OF THE F.U.D.O.S.I 9] MEMPHIS-MISRAÎM - THE ORDER WORLDWIDE 10] MM; ITS SYMBOLISM & DEGREES and finally, the Appendix:I : The Egytian Rite of the Theosophists II : La Grande Hiérophanie and the Arcana Arcanorum III : The Magi of Memphis

Book Synopsis Fulcanelli and the Alchemical Revival by : Geneviève Dubois
Download or read book Fulcanelli and the Alchemical Revival written by Geneviève Dubois and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2005-11-10 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sheds new light on the identity of the alchemist Fulcanelli • Provides new understanding of the relationships between the most important figures of the esoteric milieu of Paris in the first half of the 20th century • Includes a wealth of rarely seen documents, photos, and letters Fulcanelli, operative alchemist and author of The Mystery of the Cathedrals and The Dwellings of the Philosophers--two of the most important esoteric works of the twentieth century--remains himself a mystery. The true identity of the man who allegedly succeeded in creating the philosopher’s stone has never been discovered, despite ardent searches by many--even the OSS (the wartime U.S. intelligence agency, later to become the CIA) claimed to have looked for him following the end of World War II. Geneviève Dubois looks at the esoteric milieu of Paris at the turn of the century, a time that witnessed a great revival of the alchemical tradition, and investigates some of its salient personalities. Could one of these have been this enigmatic man, reported to have last appeared in Seville, Spain, in 1952 when he would have been 113 years of age? The trail followed by the author encounters such figures as Papus, René Guénon, Schwaller de Lubicz, Pierre Dujols, Eugene Canseliet, and Jean-Julien Champagne. Working from rare documents, letters, and photos, Dubois suggests that one of these men could have been hiding his activity behind the pseudonym of Fulcanelli or that Fulcanelli may even have been a composite fabricated by several of these individuals working together. Beyond its attempt to reveal the actual identity of Fulcanelli, Fulcanelli and the Alchemical Revival also presents an explanation of the alchemical doctrine and reveals the unsuspected relationships among the important twentieth-century truth seekers it highlights.
Book Synopsis A Gnostic Catechism by : Stephan A Hoeller
Download or read book A Gnostic Catechism written by Stephan A Hoeller and published by . This book was released on 2020-02-14 with total page 90 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There exists a general need for concise, clear and authentic information regarding the Mythos held by the Gnostic tradition. The present age is characterized by much shallow thinking and a tendency to reduce meaningful ideas to nebulous nonsense. With the increase of publicity attached to some teachings of the Nag Hammadi material, Gnostic ideas and terms are being appropriated by uninformed sources. The name Gnostic is often misapplied. When everything is "Gnostic" nothing is Gnostic. Although far flung and poetic, the Gnostic Mythos is a specific one; one ought to know what it is and what it is not.The word "catechism" readily conjures up visions of dogmatic belief, enshrined in rigidly formulated articles and designed to be memorized and mindlessly recited by children and by adults of childish minds. Yet a catechism is truly but a compendium of instructions, usually of a religious nature, arranged in the form of questions and answers. There is no necessary implication of dogmatism and even less of childish simple mindedness at all.Still, when we attach the word "Gnostic" to "Catechism" we may encounter another problem. A Gnostic is by definition a knower, and since knowledge supersedes belief, a knower cannot very well be a believer. If a catechism is mainly a statement of beliefs, it is something that no Gnostic would have a need for. So far so good, but the issue under consideration is a bit more complex than that. [From the Author's Preface.]
