Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recommended reading for Texas Masons, especially for those who study Masonic history. This work was commissioned by New Braunfels Masonic Lodge #1109. When global empires declared war on each other, and the social order began to rapidly change as a result, Freemasonry played a key role in bringing order out of the chaos by offering relief across enemy lines. The Republic of Texas and the City of New Braunfels were founded during this period of great change. This book explores: the Masonic history of Texas; the story of New Braunfels; Masonry during The Great War; esoteric teachings and philosophy; the history of New Braunfels Lodge ѕ the history of Comal Lodge Ĕ and a curated digest of the Proceedings of The Grand Lodge of Texas. This book is recommended by prominent Masons in New Braunfels, Texas: "Remarkable history of Free Masons in a small German town settled in Texas." -William D. Morgan, Past Master, New Braunfels Lodge #1109. "Discover the foundation of international Masonry and its contributions to Texas and New Braunfels."- Riley C. Miller, Past Master and Secretary, New Braunfels Lodge #1109.

L. 5837, to the Close of the Grand Annual Communication Held at Palestine, January 19, A. D. 1857, A. L. 5857 I have with great care collected all the old records which have come under my notice, and compiled them in such a manner as I think will be most useful and interesting; and as it is well known'to all with whom I have been in the habit of meeting, that I am more practical than eloquent, more given to labor than to flowery language, I Shall close these prefatory remarks by adding a Short history of the creation, I may say, of Masonry in Texas, from the pen of a very distinguished Brother of our Order. Free Masonry in Texas - A Reminiscence of its early History. AS I took an active part in laying the first foundations of Free Masonry in this country, originated, and was personally present at, the first meeting ever held here, and cogn'izant of the earliest steps taken for the organization of a Lodge, I place upon'record the following facts, which may be of interest perhaps to the fraternity hereafter, and would otherwise be lost, as I am now the only one living of the five Brethren who originated Holland Lodge. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Early Introduction of Bogus Freemasonry in the United States of America and Texas Among Colored Masons Masonic Lodge and that it was connected with General Gages Military Regiment at Boston Massachusetts on the 0th of March 1775 and that this White Masonic Lodge in General Gages Military Regiment, they said, held a charter from the Grand Lodge of England, and replying to that unwarranted statement made and published by the leaders of the spurious Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, for the Grand Lodge of England has repeatedly said that they did not have any ma sonic lodge in General Gages Military Regiment when that regiment was in the United States and the question has time after time been ask ed the members of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Massachusetts and particularly those in Massachusetts that claim to know so much about it to give the name and the number of that masonic lodge that Prince Hall, Boston Smith and Thomas Sanderson was made master masons in that was connected with General Gages Military Regiment which was then in the United States, and these wiley fellows and Masonic ih tervators have never been able to give us any information as to what the name or even the number of this Masonic Lodge that they say was in General Gages Military Regiment. And inasmuch as no person has ever been found that could furnish any genuine information about this matter there is no doubt but the statements that have been paraded around the country about this matter were bare-faced, willful and ma licious falsehoods, and in the absence of any proof to confirm their state ments it is very safe to say that Prince Hall, Boston Smith, Thomas Sanderson and their associates simply went to bed at night and dream ed that they had been made Master Masons and got up next morning with their minds in a high state of hallucination and really thought it was so, when as a matter of fact there was nothing, nothing in it, and they simply drew on their imaginations. Book excerpt: The Hiram Key is a book that will shake the Christian world to its very roots. When Christopher Knight and Robert Lomas, both Masons, set out to find the origins of Freemasonry they had no idea that they would find themselves unraveling the true story of Jesus and the original Jerusalem Church. As a radically new picture of Jesus started to emerge, the authors came to the startling conclusion that the key rituals of modern Freemasonry were practiced by the early followers of Jesus as a means of initiation into their community.
