Book excerpt: The first four volumes of Hijacked!, How Dr. King’s Dream Became a Nightmare explores the goals that must be achieved and the methods that must be used to fix what is wrong with America. However, these things have been hijacked by super natural spiritual forces and caused the once unthinkable devastating nightmare in America, which we are now experiencing. This Nightmare has been orchestrated by spiritually dark forces who must be dealt with through an effective, super natural, spiritual warfare prayer strategy. Nothing else—but this—will solve the demonic insanity that is occurring all over America today! In Volume 5, The Demonic, everything that “We the People” need to do this and bring America back from the brink of total decline and destruction is explored in detail. The demonic insanity that is so widespread in America today is clearly demonstrated by such things as critical race theory, social justice, transgenderism, the open-boarder policy, the war-on-fossil-fuel/the climate-control policy, an obsession with renewing the JCPOA Iran nuclear argument, the love affair of African-Americans with the people that clearly hate them, and the love affair of Jewish-Americans and others with the people that clearly hate them. The volumes respectively of Hijacked! are The Dream, The Hijack, The Nightmare, The Recovery, and The Demonic. All of these things are a very clear demonstration that most Americans have rejected the God-given dream goals and dream methods of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and are instead being taught how to live by demons.

Book excerpt: Rescue your church from the infiltration of partisan politics. Especially in this election season, the political discourse within our country grows more rancorous and increasingly uncivil. During the last several decades there has been a growing tendency to conflate one's theological commitments with one's political ideology. As a consequence, partisan politics has infiltrated our churches and political commitments are creating unnecessary divisions. Perhaps of most concern, these trends generally tend to obscure the properly holistic nature of the Gospel of Christ and turn people off to Christianity altogether. Too often, it often seems politics has more influence than theology. Sadly, this leads to division, where decisions on church direction, and even the content of teaching, gets determined more based on partisan politics than on sound biblical and theological factors. Hijacked explores this phenomenon, offers analysis, and proposes a way forward.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is the work ethic? Does it justify policies that promote the wealth and power of the One Percent at workers' expense? Or does it advance policies that promote workers' dignity and standing? Hijacked explores how the history of political economy has been a contest between these two ideas about whom the work ethic is supposed to serve. Today's neoliberal ideology deploys the work ethic on behalf of the One Percent. However, workers and their advocates have long used the work ethic on behalf of ordinary people. By exposing the ideological roots of contemporary neoliberalism as a perversion of the seventeenth-century Protestant work ethic, Elizabeth Anderson shows how we can reclaim the original goals of the work ethic, and uplift ourselves again. Hijacked persuasively and powerfully demonstrates how ideas inspired by the work ethic informed debates among leading political economists of the past, and how these ideas can help us today.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is the appropriate political response to mass atrocity? In Hijacked Justice, Jelena Subotic traces the design, implementation, and political outcomes of institutions established to deal with the legacies of violence in the aftermath of the Yugoslav wars. She finds that international efforts to establish accountability for war crimes in the former Yugoslavia have been used to pursue very different local political goals.Responding to international pressures, Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia have implemented various mechanisms of "transitional justice"—the systematic addressing of past crimes after conflicts end. Transitional justice in the three countries, however, was guided by ulterior political motives: to get rid of domestic political opponents, to obtain international financial aid, or to gain admission to the European Union. Subotic argues that when transitional justice becomes "hijacked" for such local political strategies, it fosters domestic backlash, deepens political instability, and even creates alternative, politicized versions of history. That war crimes trials (such as those in The Hague) and truth commissions (as in South Africa) are necessary and desirable has become a staple belief among those concerned with reconstructing societies after conflict. States are now expected to deal with their violent legacies in an institutional setting rather than through blanket amnesty or victor's justice. This new expectation, however, has produced paradoxical results. In order to avoid the pitfalls of hijacked justice, Subotic argues, the international community should focus on broader and deeper social transformation of postconflict societies, instead on emphasizing only arrests of war crimes suspects.

Book excerpt: All throughout recorded history, politicians have taken bribes from outside parties to push certain agendas, either profiting themselves or helping others profit through illicit and illegal actions. We know this common practice is wrong, and yet we all tend to look the other way. Before examining these actions, should we look at the commonalities? Just how did Deep State actors from LBJ to Obama hijack the country that we love? How did the Clinton Foundation and the Bush Foundation change the course of American domestic politics and international policy? On the surface, it may seem as though the course of history has diverted and deviated from the path throughout our time as a nation, but who is leading the ship? Who is in control? And more importantly, why? What are their motives? As ordinary Americans, we are the ones who suffer from the repercussions. Let's take a deeper look into the Clintons, the Bushes, Kennedy, Johnson, and even Donald Trump himself to see just how the Deep State has impacted the world we love and the country we love. Motivated by money and power, Deep State actors grasped control of this country long ago, and since the election of Donald Trump, they've been grabbing and grasping for any last shred of power that they once held over us. Understanding how these actors received their power is critical in understanding why they abused it. Through America Hijacked, we'll take a critical look into the policies and practices of nearly every administration up until modern day to see just how the Deep State came to be, and how they hijacked America for their own personal benefit. So, where does the issue lie? It lies in the fact that when our elected representatives use their status and political power to cover up crimes and purposefully make conscious unlawful decisions that impact the lives of ordinary Americans, they hijack our country, our principles, and everything that we stand for, all for the profit and (political) gains of the few. This is the Deep State.

Book excerpt: Technology surrounds us every day: a phone alarm wakes us up, an electronic calendar tracks assignment deadlines, GPS directs us to the new dentist’s office, social media keeps us connected to friends and family, and streaming platforms make sure we’re never without something new to binge-watch. Our devices and apps can make life much more convenient and entertaining. But for years, scientists have warned that too much screen time may have negative effects on our health. With portable devices and remote learning, it is even more difficult to put down electronics. Being intentional about how and when to unplug can help teens and young adults to protect their physical and mental wellbeing in a world where screens and technology are increasingly becoming necessities rather than just conveniences. Attention Hijacked offers a roadmap for those deciding how they want to deal with technology, exploring the ways technology affects the individual, dispelling common misinformation, and using this knowledge to make personalized decisions. Page Plus links in the book lead to mindfulness and meditation audio clips. Using mindfulness techniques, this book gives readers the power to take charge of their technology use.

Could the aircraft have been stopped at Amritsar airport? Was a commando raid planned on the aircraft? How was Rupin Katyal killed? Was the plane’s destination always intended to be Kandahar? People who have been hijacked by the grace of God spread goodness around like wildfire. They constantly infect other people with the right virus – grace. They are highly contagious and beautifully dangerous. They set wildfires of mercy alight that spread from person to person, and to the rest of God’s creation. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A study of the experiences of Chinese prisoners of war during the Korean War and the struggle over their repatriation. The Korean War lasted for three years, one month, and two days, but armistice talks occupied more than two of those years, as more than 14,000 Chinese prisoners of war refused to return to Communist China and demanded to go to Nationalist Taiwan, effectively hijacking the negotiations and thwarting the designs of world leaders at a pivotal moment in Cold War history. In The Hijacked War, David Cheng Chang vividly portrays the experiences of Chinese prisoners in the dark, cold, and damp tents of Koje and Cheju Islands in Korea and how their decisions derailed the high politics being conducted in the corridors of power in Washington, Moscow, and Beijing. Chang demonstrates how the Truman-Acheson administration’s policies of voluntary repatriation and prisoner reindoctrination for psychological warfare purposes—the first overt and the second covert—had unintended consequences. The “success” of the reindoctrination program backfired when anti-Communist Chinese prisoners persuaded and coerced fellow POWs to renounce their homeland. Drawing on newly declassified archival materials from China, Taiwan, and the United States, and interviews with more than 80 surviving Chinese and North Korean prisoners of war, Chang depicts the struggle over prisoner repatriation that dominated the second half of the Korean War, from early 1952 to July 1953, in the prisoners’ own words. Praise for The Hijacked War “This book represents a giant step forward in our understanding of the prisoner-of-war issue in the Korean War. The research on the Chinese prisoners is extraordinary, the stories of individuals compelling, and the analysis of the context in which they made choices balanced and persuasive.” —William Stueck, author of The Korean War: An International History “David Cheng Chang’s superlative research reveals the use of Chinese POWs as pawns in the larger Cold War standoff between the US and China during the Korean War. His cogent analysis encourages us to think about the aftermath of the war and the lives of those who made the ‘voluntary choice’ to join or who faced ‘forced conformity.’” —Barak Kushner, author of Men to Devils, Devils to Men: Japanese War Crimes and Chinese Justice “Chang’s exceptionally vivid prisoner’s-eye account, based on camp archives and interviews with ex-POWS, leads him to condemn the key U.S. policymakers, including President Harry Truman and Secretary of State Dean Acheson, for their “arrogance, ignorance, and negligence.” —Foreign Affairs

This book was released on 2012-06-04 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Gail Collins is the funniest serious political commentator in America. Reading As Texas Goes… is pure pleasure from page one.” —Rachel Maddow As Texas Goes . . . provides a trenchant yet often hilarious look into American politics and the disproportional influence of Texas, which has become the model for not just the Tea Party but also the Republican Party. Now with an expanded introduction and a new concluding chapter that will assess the influence of the Texas way of thinking on the 2012 election, Collins shows how the presidential race devolved into a clash between the so-called “empty places” and the crowded places that became a central theme in her book. The expanded edition will also feature more examples of the Texas style, such as Governor Rick Perry’s nearsighted refusal to accept federal Medicaid funding as well as the proposed ban on teaching “critical thinking” in the classroom. As Texas Goes . . . will prove to be even more relevant to American politics by the dawn of a new political era in January 2013.
