Of all negativity and chaos that contribute to that uncertainty, putting blames on each other has the greatest impact. While one may get away from responsibility by using the art of blaming by simply saying “It’s your fault!”, some blame themselves diving deep into depression. Some take it as a way of expressing gratitude by understanding the truth beyond the blame, while some consider it positive criticism. Nevertheless, our writers have put forth their best pen and created philosophical as well as highly intellectual pieces of work that would attempt to ignite the seventh sense in our beloved readers. This anthology " IT’S YOUR FAULT " is compiled by Dr. MOHAMMED ZAINULABIDEEN Y. and presented by KAVI PRIYA. N

Book excerpt: City of Roses is a serialized epic very firmly set in Portland, Oregon—an urban fantasy mixing magical realism with gonzo noirish prose, where duels are fought in Pioneer Square and union meetings are beseiged by ghost bicycles. —Jo Maguire, a highly strung, underemployed telemarketer, has been knighted in the mysterious Court of Roses. Her roommate, Ysabel, is a Princess of the Court, and the intended Bride of the King Come Back (whomever that turns out to be). Together they must face the threats of bad dreams, changelings, surly exes, jealous lovers, intemperate peers, shabby magicians in ill-fitting suits, abstruse oracles, unemployment, eviction, and the nothing-time of three in the morning, when dawn seems so far off. Collecting chapters 12 - 22 of the critically acclaimed fantasy serial, Vol. 2, The Dazzle of Day, concludes most of the story begun in Vol. 1, "Wake up..."

Book excerpt: The magic and wonder of winter’s first snowfall is perfectly captured in Ezra Jack Keat’s Caldecott Medal-winning picture book. Young readers can enjoy this celebrated classic as a full-sized board book, perfect for read-alouds of all kinds and a great gift for the holiday season. In 1962, a little boy named Peter put on his snowsuit and stepped out of his house and into the hearts of millions of readers. Universal in its appeal, this story beautifully depicts a child's wonder at a new world, and the hope of capturing and keeping that wonder forever. This big, sturdy edition will bring even more young readers to the story of Peter and his adventures in the snow. Ezra Jack Keats was also the creator of such classics as Goggles, A Letter to Amy, Pet Show!, Peter’s Chair, and A Whistle for Willie. (This book is also available in Spanish, as Un dia de nieve.) Praise for The Snowy Day: “Keats made Peter’s world so inviting that it beckons us. Perhaps the busyness of daily life in the 21st century makes us appreciate Peter even more—a kid who has the luxury of a whole day to just be outside, surrounded by snow that’s begging to be enjoyed.” —The Atlantic "Ezra Jack Keats's classic The Snowy Day, winner of the 1963 Caldecott Medal, pays homage to the wonder and pure pleasure a child experiences when the world is blanketed in snow."—Publisher's Weekly

From skipping stones and counting stars to climbing trees and telling stories, every moment is wrapped snugly in the certain warmth of a parent’s presence and God’s blessing. With poignancy and joy, this bedtime read captures the unconditional love parents want their children to know but so often fail to express amid the chaos of daily life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 2019, suicide was the second leading cause of death in young children, with a percentage of those deaths occurring before the age of twelve. The rate goes up with many children having attempted or thought about committing suicide. The faces of these children are never known, and their voices are never heard until they make headlines from this unspeakable act. Parents, teachers, counselors, other school staff, and pastors are often unaware of the storm that is raging inside of our children. Many ask how can this happen, while others turn their heads and ears to the cry and desperation of children in turmoil. How are we as a human race failing our children? There is so much that is misunderstood about suicide, and society chooses not to talk about this deadly problem. As parents, we teach our children the benefits of healthy eating, how to cross the street, and stranger danger. We also prepare them for going to college, saving money, and being successful in life. However, as parents, we do not think about suicide being an issue in the lives of our kids. Factors that encourage suicide may be bullying, depression, low self-esteem, trouble in the home, physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, and mental illness. Games, videos, and suicide challenges are also the causes of a child taking his or her life. What can adults do? We need to listen to our children without dismissing their thoughts and feelings. We need to talk to our children about suicide, and we need to embrace them, so that they will know that we can be trusted. Parents should also seek professional help for their child. If you are a parent, caregiver, school staff, family member, friend, or pastor, listen with all your heart. The National Suicide Prevention Hotline number is 800-273-8255. My prayer is that the world will come together to fight this disease.

Feeding her horses one cold and wintry day, a girl thinks about all the hard work that went into the fresh-smelling bales she's using. The rhyming text and brilliant full-page paintings follow the girl and her mother through the summer as they cut, spread, dry and bale in the fields. Mower blades slice through the grass./A new row falls with every pass./Next we spread the grass to dry./The tedder makes those grasses fly! This celebration of summer, farming, and family, illustrated by Pura Belpré honor artist Joe Cepeda, includes a glossary of haymaking words, and a recipe for making your own switchel— a traditional farm drink, to cool you down in the summer heat. Book excerpt: With wry wit and touching humor, Louie Anderson, New York Times bestselling author and Emmy Award–winning comedian currently starring in Zach Galifianakis’s Baskets, shares his journey of turning life’s challenges into joy, as well as plenty of wisdom he’s still discovering from his late mother. “I started out writing these letters to my mom, but a few friends said I should write a book. I said ‘okay’ because next to ‘we’ll see,’ ‘okay’ is as non-committal as you can get. But somehow, I stuck with it. I hope you like it. I hope that after you read it, you’ll write or call your own mom—and dad, sister, brother, cousin, nephew. Or have lunch with them. Or breakfast. It doesn’t have to be lunch. But do it now. Don’t wait like I did.” —Louie Louie Anderson has channeled his beloved mom, Ora Zella Anderson, in his stand-up routine for decades, but she died before seeing him reach his greatest heights, culminating in his breakout TV role as Christine Baskets, the mesmerizing character she inspired. Hey Mom is Louie’s way of catching her up on the triumphs, disappointments, and continuing challenges in life. Full of heartache, but also great hope, and of course—given Louie’s inimitable comedic voice—laugh-out-loud stories and his trademark observations on life’s many absurdities, Hey Mom shows a poignant side of Louie you may not know, and proves that he is one of the most nuanced and wide-ranging comics working today.
