Book excerpt: Tears of Broken Hearts is a poetic walk through the journey of heartbreak, deep reflection of what is, and encouragement to find the good in the goodbyes. This book was written to remind people that they aren't alone -- that what happened to them is painful but, in the end, manageable. Exploring emotions around love and love lost, Tears of Broken Hearts skillfully offers transparency surrounding, in its entirety, one of the most complex pieces of the human condition...the failed relationship. Wrapped in wordplay and metaphors, this book boldly depicts a world where love and heartache battle to see which will live on.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 360 Pounds of Tears-I came up with this title probably around twenty-five years ago. I have written poetry throughout my life, but nothing really serious. A moment would happen and then I would write it down. I wrote the poem "360 Pounds of Tears." Unfortunately, I lost it, but basically, it was about the fear and pain of being heavy and how the world looked at me-the time I was in the store and two little girls looked at me and said how fat I was or the time I was walking down the street of Santa Monica and some guys screaming by in their car and saying, "Hey, fatso!" So . . . it started with that. Of recent, I fell in love for the first time in my life after thirty or forty years at the age of fifty-four. We got engaged . . . and it ended . . . and the heartache of that is why I started writing. Basically, I woke up one day and heard a voice . . . sounds of sorry, not of command. And I just listened to my inner voice, and I started writing. And I would write and I would write, and actually, after I would read it, I didn't know who really wrote it, even though I knew it was me. So it has basically been a healing process, tapping into something . . . I said something to my brother . . . He said, "I think you got something here . . ." So I just keep on writing or listening, and when the moment happens, I put it down on paper. I would basically summarize the book as a connection with God, life, the unknown, hurt, pain, joy, acceptance, and most of all, love . . . I believe that there are so many forms of love, and I think that everything we do is for love . . . Everything we do . . . So that is basically why I wrote the book of poems . . . 360 Pounds of Tears.

Book excerpt: No Love Lost Here is a personal collection of poetry about first love, first heartbreak, and my journey of healing from it all. It is divided into three separate chapters to read when you feel like you need them the most, but can also be read all together. There were a lot of tears, heartache, and love that were put into the making of this. This has been a dream of mine for awhile, and I couldn't be any more proud to share it with anyone who's willing to read it. I hope as you flip through the pages, you find pieces of your own heart scattered in every single poem. I hope it fills you with hope that there is light on the other side of whatever valley you're walking through. I hope it inspires you in all the same ways it has inspired me when I wrote it. I hope, at some point, you brush the dirt off your knees and pick up your bruised heart, and decide to love anyways. And I hope that with the help of some time, you come to realize that maybe that heartbreak was one of the best things to ever happen to you... I know it was for me.
