Book Synopsis Practical Instrumental Analysis by : Sergio Petrozzi
Download or read book Practical Instrumental Analysis written by Sergio Petrozzi and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2012-09-24 with total page 388 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This practical book in instrumental analytics conveys an overview of important methods of analysis and enables the reader to realistically learn the (principally technology-independent) working techniques the analytical chemist uses to develop methods and conduct validation. What is to be conveyed to the student is the fact that analysts in their capacity as problem-solvers perform services for certain groups of customers, i.e., the solution to the problem should in any case be processed in such a way as to be "fit for purpose". The book presents sixteen experiments in analytical chemistry laboratory courses. They consist of the classical curriculum used at universities and universities of applied sciences with chromatographic procedures, atom spectrometric methods, sensors and special methods (e.g. field flow fractionation, flow injection analysis and N-determination according to Kjeldahl). The carefully chosen combination of theoretical description of the methods of analysis and the detailed instructions given are what characterizes this book. The instructions to the experiments are so detailed that the measurements can, for the most part, be taken without the help of additional literature. The book is complemented with tips for effective literature and database research on the topics of organization and the practical workflow of experiments in analytical laboratory, on the topic of the use of laboratory logs as well as on writing technical reports and grading them (Evaluation Guidelines for Laboratory Experiments). A small introduction to Quality Management, a brief glance at the history of analytical chemistry as well as a detailed appendix on the topic of safety in analytical laboratories and a short introduction to the new system of grading and marking chemicals using the "Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS)", round off this book. This book is therefore an indispensable workbook for students, internship assistants and lecturers (in the area of chemistry, biotechnology, food technology and environmental technology) in the basic training program of analytics at universities and universities of applied sciences.

Book Synopsis Pharmaceutical Packaging Technology by : D. A. Dean
Download or read book Pharmaceutical Packaging Technology written by D. A. Dean and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2005-07-12 with total page 459 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pharmaceutical packaging requires a greater knowledge of materials and a greater intensity of testing than most other packed products, not to mention a sound knowledge of pharmaceutical products and an understanding of regulatory requirements. Structured to meet the needs of the global market, this volume provides an assessment of a wide range of issues. It covers the entire supply chain from conversion of raw materials into packaging materials and then assembled into product packs. Integrating information from many drug delivery systems, the author discusses testing and evaluation and emphasizes traceability and the need to for additional safeguards.
Book Synopsis Global Consistency of Tolerances by : Fred van Houten
Download or read book Global Consistency of Tolerances written by Fred van Houten and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-04-17 with total page 448 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book contains selected contributions from the 6th CIRP International Seminar on Computer-Aided Tolerancing, which was held on 22-24 March, 1999, at the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands. This volume presents the theory and application of consistent tolerancing. Until recently CADCAM systems did not even address the issue of tolerances and focused purely on nominal geometry. Therefore, CAD data was only of limited use for the downstream processes. The latest generation of CADCAM systems incorporates functionality for tolerance specification. However, the lack of consistency in existing tolerancing standards and everyday tolerancing practice still lead to ill-defined products, excessive manufacturing costs and unexpected failures. Research and improvement of education in tolerancing are hot items today. Global Consistency of Tolerances gives an excellent overview of the recent developments in the field of Computer-Aided Tolerancing, including such topics as tolerance specification; tolerance analysis; tolerance synthesis; tolerance representation; geometric product specification; functional product analysis; statistical tolerancing; education of tolerancing; computational metrology; tolerancing standards; and industrial applications and CAT systems. This book is well suited to users of new generation CADCAM systems who want to use the available tolerancing possibilities properly. It can also be used as a starting point for research activities.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why settle for less when you can have the whole of Analytical Chemistry in a single book? The successful all-in-one guide to modern Analytical Chemistry is now available in a new and updated edition. From the foundations of analytical science to state-of-the art techniques and instrumentation -- all you will ever need to know is explained here. The text covers both general analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis and may be used for most analytical chemistry courses offered today. Carefully chosen worked examples show how analytical problems can effectively be solved and how calculations should be performed. Study questions and recommended reading for further study are provided for each learning unit. The second edition has been carefully revised to keep up-to-date with advances in the technology of analytical methods in the laboratory and in the workplace, including newly written chapters on multidimensional chromatography, sensors and screening systems. With its broad scope, the text doubles as a reliable reference for virtually all analytical problems encountered during the course of study and beyond. "Analytical Chemistry will serve as an excellent text as well as a valued reference following completion of the student's course of study." Journal of Medicinal Chemistry "It is a book that should be on the shelves of all analytical chemistry and biochemistry professionals, including those who work in the areas of clinical chemistry, food chemistry and forensic chemistry." Bulletin of the World Health Organisation "The book is a must-have reference for anyone trying to understand what techniques and technologies are available for the analytical chemist today." Chemtech
