Book excerpt: This book seeks to demonstrate the significance of Ancestor Christology in African Christianity for christological developments in World Christianity. Ancestor Christology has developed in the process of an African conversion story of appropriating the mystery of Christ (Eph 3:4) in the category of ancestors. Logos Christology in early Christian history developed as an intricate byproduct in the conversion process of turning Hellenistic ideas towards the direction of Christ (A. F. Walls). Hellenistic Christian writers and modern African Christian writers thus share some things in common and when their efforts are examined within the conversion process framework there are discernible modes of engagement. The mode of Logos Christology that one finds in Origen, for example, is an innovative application of the understanding of Jesus Christ as Logos (incarnate); a new key but not discontinuous with the Johannine suggestive mode or the clarificatory mode of Justin Martyr. African Ancestor Christology is at the threshold of an innovative mode and the argument this book makes is that this strand of African Christology should be pursued in the indigenous languages aided by respective translated Bibles; a suggested way is a Logos-Ancestor (Nanasɛm) discourse in Akan Christianity.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: You are holding in your hands deadly dynamite. Yes.You have just purchased one of the most powerful life changing and enhancing Book. No other book will change your perception if you don't digest it by reading it. READ THIS Book. You will encounter ideas herein that are stimulating, thought-provoking, candid and spine -tingling. Yet they are true. You will be shown how to separate truth from religious and popular fiction. This book will take out the mystery of God. For God is not the Creator! Finally giving you unique satisfaction from facts you need to make important life decisions. You will be challenged and be excited after all.The problem of why the Creator created the universe still troubles thinking men and women; but if we cannot know why, we can at least know that He did not bring His worlds into being to meet some unfulfilled need in Himself, as a man might build a house to shelter against the winter cold or plant a field of rupoko to provide him with necessary food. The word necessary is wholly foreign to the Creator.Since He is the Power that is supreme over all, it follows that the Creator cannot be elevated. Nothing is above Him, nothing beyond or below Him. Any motion attributed to His direction or elevation is from us as creatures that are away from Him, in descent. He holds His position out of Himself and by leave of none. As no one can promote Him, so no one can degrade Him. It is clear that He upholds all things by the word of His power. Which is the Law. How can He be raised or supported by the things He upholds? Were all human beings suddenly to become blind, still the sun would shine by day and the stars by night, for the sun and stars owe nothing to the millions who benefit from their light. So, if every human on earth becomes an atheist, it could not affect the Creator in any way. He is what He is in Himself without regard to any other. To believe in Him adds nothing to His perfection; to doubt Him takes nothing away. It is the compound Soul that is on earth for experience Not the Creator! You are a Spirit Dwelling In matter briefly! It's Not the Creator in Actuality! the Creator is Longing for YOUR Worship is that so? Don't be too sure. That's not so. Thousands of years before colonizing and enslaving man-made religions were crafted The Creator now commonly known as God, Jesus, Allah or Jehovah was already worshipped by "Black People" in a way that is completely mocked and laughed at today. This Book sweeps away the religious rubble and will confirm for you the foundations that sustained Afrikan Civilizations for hundreds of thousands of years before any other, The claim largely by Christianity, Judaism and Islam, (Book based religions) to being true or revealed religions, spiritualities or ways of life pales into obliviousness once it is proved that Indigenous people on Earth already Knew the Creator before their advent. Ancient people worshipped and lived traditional lives based on applying the Laws they had received from their Ancestor who received them from the Creator! If You are of African lineage just remember the following observation; You cannot KNOW THIS One and ONLY Original Creator if you are convinced that, Islam is an African Religion, if you believe that Jesus died for your sins or that YHVH is "God's Name." How can this be, Because YOUR True Creator Is Directly Linked To your Ancestors? Your "God" Must Look Like Your Ancestor and eventually like you. This is common sense, Logical and True. Yet we have lost it. Today it will be restored.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The study of the application of the title ancestor to Christ permits the author to delve into the Christological reflection in Africa today through one of the principal ways. At play here is the inculturation of the faith, which cannot be fully achieved without a process of theological assimilation of the fundamental parameters in the African life. The thesis, therefore, is not only limited to a mere description of the contemporary panorama in that respect, but attempts to offer a theological evaluation of the real expressive capacity of the title, as it has been proposed. The criterion used is therefore double: In the first place, the thesis tried to show that the human and the divine natures of Jesus Christ can be maintained in such a way that there is no rupture with the great tradition of the Christological councils. In the second place, if it is capable of responding to demands of Christology from above and from below. In all this, however, the horizon of the debate is not occidental exegetical investigation well known by the author; but from the theological ambient of sub-Saharan world. The conclusion is positive, pondering the terms involved. The work can be of great use in the christoogical endeavors of contemporary Africa, as well for those who desire to delve into it. Don Alfonso Carrasco Rouco (director of the thesis and now Bishop of the Diocese of Lugo Spain) The work of Don Cletus Chukwuemeka contains a clear description of what we may call African traditional religiosity as well as the theological efforts to inject Christianity into this cultural and religious tradition. The central point of these efforts revolves around the understanding of Christ. The most original aspect of this work is in the critical recourse to the figure of the ancestor or proto-ancestor to present the identity of Christ in a way that is faithful to the Church tradition, and at the same time, significant for the religious and cultural tradition of Africa. Dr. Don Gerardo del Pozo Abejn (Censor of the thesis)

Book excerpt: The Origins and Development of African theology is a very informative survey of African theology over approximately the last twenty years. The author is widely read on the subject, as far as English publications go, and highlights the salient issues with balanced objectivity. The literature, both as discussed in the substance of the book and in the bibliography, is also a valuable source for further study of African theology. Book excerpt: God’s Promise to the Chinese God created the heavens and the earth. He created everything from nothingness. God exists forever without reason. Nature, including stars, mountains, rivers, sky, clouds, flowers, trees, seasons, the universe that operates orderly…has been declaring the glory of God and proclaiming the wondrous and mighty works of God. God is spirit. Only those whose spirit is alive to Him can see and perceive God and the things of Him. Since the first man sinned and refused to repent, which caused man’s spiritual death to God, man is no longer spiritual, but worldly. After that, man has been blind and deaf to God and His mighty works. For instance, man takes it for granted that the orderly operated nature came into being by itself.

Today this question is as fascinating as ever, especially since religion has moved to the centre of socio-political relationships. In contrast to the current, but incomplete approaches from disciplines such as cognitive science and psychology, the present authors adopt a new approach, equally manifest and constructive, that explains the origins of religion based strictly on behavioural biology. They employ accepted research results that remove all need for speculation. Decisive factors for the earliest demonstrations of religion are thus territorial behaviour and ranking, coping with existential fears, and conflict solution with the help of rituals. These in turn, in a process of cultural evolution, are shown to be the roots of the historical and contemporary religions.
