We need to have compassion and respect for the feelings of others. When I wrote this book, I thought of all the people who are going to fall victims to someone who behaves the way my friends and I did long ago. I thought to myself, "what if it's my own daughter?", what if it's my nephew or someone I love?" Then I decided that since I may not be there to guide them or give them a little pep talk about men, I might as well write a book, something they can keep referring to every time things get out of control.
