The field work was done in 1910 under the general supervision of Professor R.D. Salisbury, consulting geologist. At the time the work was done Mr. Sauer was a member of the Department of Geology of the University of Chicago. He is now Professor of Geography at the University of Michigan. The present report is one of a series of educational bulletins which have proved very popular with the public.
