Book Synopsis Measures of Spirituality/Religiosity (2018) by : Arndt Büssing
Download or read book Measures of Spirituality/Religiosity (2018) written by Arndt Büssing and published by MDPI. This book was released on 2019-04-30 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The interest in the topic of spirituality as a more or less independent dimension of quality of life is continuously growing, and research questions are beginning to change as the field of religiosity changes, becoming more diverse and pluralistic. Addressing new topics in health research also relies on standardized questionnaires. The number of instruments intended to measure specific aspects of spirituality is growing, and it is particularly difficult to evaluate the new instruments. This Special Issue will focus on some of the established instruments (updating them to different languages and cultures), but will also describe the features and intentions of newly-developed instruments, which may potentially be used in larger studies to develop knowledge relevant to spiritual care and practice. This Special Issue will serve as a resource on the instruments used to study the wide range of organized religiosity, the individual experience of the divine, and an open approach in the search for meaning and purpose in life.

Book Synopsis Complementary Management by : Boris Kaehler
Download or read book Complementary Management written by Boris Kaehler and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-06-22 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the Complementary Management Model. Building on extensive theoretical considerations on management and leadership, it outlines the seven elements of the model: the management actors (1) jointly fulfil management tasks (2) serving two management functions (3) by performing management routines (4) and applying formal management instruments (5), which requires management resources (6) and management unit structures (7). The key mechanisms of Complementary Management include the primacy of employee self-leadership, compensatory interventions of the line manager in the absence of such self-steerage, and active roles for senior managers and HR advisors in the management/leadership process. The Complementary Leadership Model is practice-oriented and offers a coherent conceptual basis for corporate models (= principles and guidelines) of management and leadership. The book describes the process for developing and introducing such guidelines and backs this up with project recommendations. It is aimed at all those interested in theory, but especially HR professionals and managers who shape management and leadership in their organizations and are looking for compelling theoretical foundations for their work.

This book was released on 2010-07-30 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For some people, Public Relations used to be "that former journalist type who deals with the media." However, the public perception of the profession has changed quite substantially. Communication has become a genuine modern management function. The integration of successful public relations is a crucial contribution to raising the level of professionalism in an organization. "Communication and Leadership in the 21st Century" is a review of theoretical and empirical research papers on this subject, intended for scholars, students, and professionals across these disciplines. The volume focuses in particular on four distinct, but interrelated areas of communication: Integrated Market & Corporate Communication, Communication Management & Media, Organizational Communication & Change and Leadership Communication & Strategies. With special emphasis on the German and European situation and two digressions to China, the authors provide different perspectives on the cross-cultural context of international communications and leadership. The book's four subject areas also characterize the key subjects of an innovative Executive MBA program which has been developed in cooperation with the Technische Universität München. The study program is part of the ¡communicate! Qualification Program, an initiative of the Bertelsmann Stiftung, the Heinz Nixdorf Stiftung and the Daimler Fund. The aim of ¡communicate! is to unite communication and leadership in the workplace, in training and in research.
