Book Synopsis Microwave Dielectric Resonator-tuning by : Uve H. W. Lammers
Download or read book Microwave Dielectric Resonator-tuning written by Uve H. W. Lammers and published by . This book was released on 1974 with total page 28 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dielectric resonators have applications as low-loss compact filters in the microwave region. Tuning characteristics of dielectric resonators that might allow for temperature compensation and frequency variability were investigated both theoretically and experimentally at L band. A secondary dielectric resonator that is offset in frequency from the tuned resonator provides a maximum tuning range of approximately 10 percent before an additional filter loss of 3 dB is incurred; the rate of tuning is slow since it is done by changing the resonator coupling (spacing). For fast tuning, a varactor is used in a coupled resonant circuit. Frequency changes can then be made in a time interval approaching 1/(filter bandwidth), but in this case the maximum tuning range before an additional filter loss of 3 dB is incurred is reduced to 2 percent of the filter frequency.

Book Synopsis RF and Microwave Passive and Active Technologies by : Mike Golio
Download or read book RF and Microwave Passive and Active Technologies written by Mike Golio and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-10-03 with total page 734 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the high frequency world, the passive technologies required to realize RF and microwave functionality present distinctive challenges. SAW filters, dielectric resonators, MEMS, and waveguide do not have counterparts in the low frequency or digital environment. Even when conventional lumped components can be used in high frequency applications, their behavior does not resemble that observed at lower frequencies. RF and Microwave Passive and Active Technologies provides detailed information about a wide range of component technologies used in modern RF and microwave systems. Updated chapters include new material on such technologies as MEMS, device packaging, surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters, bipolar junction and heterojunction transistors, and high mobility electron transistors (HMETs). The book also features a completely rewritten section on wide bandgap transistors.

Book Synopsis Microwave Dielectric Resonators by : Sally J. Nauman
Download or read book Microwave Dielectric Resonators written by Sally J. Nauman and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The resonant frequencies for the fundamental modes in circular cylindrical and rectangular parallelopiped high dielectric resonators have been calculated by computer for a range of values of physical dimensions and relative dielectric constant. The frequency range extends from zero to 50,000 Mc/sec, the relative dielectric constant from 50 to 1800, and physical dimensions from zero to 500 mils. Results are presented in tabular and graphical form with frequency plotted versus resonator length for parametric values of relative dielectric constant and cross sectional dimensions. A brief review of earlier work with high dielectric resonators is included. Expressions for the resonant frequency and fundamental mode field configurations are given. (Author).

Book Synopsis Frequency Synthesizers by : Alexander Chenakin
Download or read book Frequency Synthesizers written by Alexander Chenakin and published by Artech House. This book was released on 2011 with total page 235 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A frequency synthesizer is an electronic system for generating any of a range of frequencies from a single fixed oscillator. They are found in modern devices like radio receivers, mobile phones, and GPS systems. This comprehensive resource offers RF and microwave engineers a thorough overview of both well-established and recently developed frequency synthesizer design techniques. Professionals find expert guidance on all design aspects, including main architectures, key building blocks, and practical circuit implementation. Engineers learn the development process and gain a solid understanding of how to build a synthesizer from a basic diagram to the final product.Starting with a simple single-loop PLL example, the book progressively examines various alternatives -- fractional-N, DDS, frequency offset, multiloop and more OCo to achieve required performance objectives. This unique volume gathers a collection of block diagrams, clever circuits, design recipes, and other hard-to-find information that is usually treated as OC design secretsOCO. Written in a simple yet rigorous style with numerous illustrations, the book is an all-in-one reference for both beginner and experienced designers.
