Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Daniel Shed Genealogy: Ancestry and Descendants of Daniel Shed of Braintree, Massachusetts, 1327-1920 About 1880 the author sought to learn something about his own great-grandfather who had been, tradition said, a revolutionary soldier. In satisfying this curiosity he found others of the family equally anxious to learn about their ancestors and thus his researches went on, gathering records where many had sowed and few or none had ever reaped, until they assumed considerable volume. The family register thus begun and prosecuted and herein pre sented contains little that will interest the world at large from either an historical or literary view, yet it is hoped it will prove of some service to those who, bound by ties of a common ancestry, have their relationships thus brought together for the first time. It is not a history of famous men nor of high dignitaries in Church or State. Many men seek to honor themselves in that certain ones of their name have been great soldiers, i'lsts, preachers, of whose rank they speak with pride.' Our forefathers were plain men whose true record is that of honest yeomen, earning their daily bread by the sweat of their brows, clearing up a new country and making homes for their families; pledging their lives for these rights, even through long wars, and once their rights secured returning as sturdily to their customary avocations. Of such men, others' ancestors as well as ours, and their careers, it may not be necessary to write a history. They need it not; the Whole country is their memorial; without them it would not now exist; it is a worthy and lasting witness. But to collect the names of these men and women too, from the fast fading pages of many books, here and there, to say that they did well by all. Download or read book Support to Resistance written by Will Irwin and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2019-05-09 with total page 238 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph is the first in a planned series of three volumes that will provide Special Operations Forces (SOF) with an in-depth study of resistance movements. Mr. Will Irwin provides a wealth of case studies focused on the United States Government's support to resistance movements. For each of his case studies the author summarizes in a clear, concise manner the duration of U.S. support, the political environments or conditions, the type of operation, the purpose or objective of U.S. support, and the ultimate outcome: success, partial success, failure, or an inconclusive outcome. Unfolding world events are indicative of the need for SOF to maintain and enhance traditional unconventional warfare (UW) skills, but those skills must be assessed in the context of modern resistance movement dynamics. This work will serve as a benchmark reference on resistance movements for the benefit of the special operations community and its civilian leadership.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: BANNED IN FRANCE This book is about the development of a New World Order that aims to suppress the whole of humanity. We are raised, by tradition, to trust our governments, and convinced that they care about us. This, however, is a big mistake. Below the surface of official politics lies a complicated social and intellectual process that is taking place. The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas-suggested, largely by men, that we have never heard of. In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conductor or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons. Are the visible world leaders just mere puppets directed by an invisible power from behind the scenes? Are there invisible hands controlling the world? Is there a conspiracy? Who are the conspirators? We are dealing with the rise of a new geo-political supranational power on the world scene. This geo-political power consists of the richest families on this planet. Together with the most powerful multinationals they rule and control all countries and all coalitions. The true aim of this elite group is complete control of Planet Earth. They consist of a small elite group formed by the most influential and powerful, anonymous, very exclusive family dynasties that live dispersed over the world. They keep their power and money betwixt them by intermarriage. They operate behind the scenes of the most important enterprises, media and the financial institutions, but also behind the political scenes. Through connections, money and violence these powerful double-crossing families slipped in with one ultimate goal: the establishment of a One World dictatorship. Their target is to force a New World Order on the whole of mankind. They have bought an enormous part of the world with its economic power and placed it under its control. With the help of their unimaginable financial reserves they currently dispose of a worldwide financial control system with which they can control the entire world economy and political system. They determine how the leading politicians of this world have to act. Over time these influential families have extended the scope of their power over the whole world. Their web reaches all corners of the world. Their tentacles are woven with all facets of human existence. Their influence is unimaginable and it reaches all the leading institutions and organizations in the fields of politics, education, religion, finances and mass media. Science has also been infiltrated by them and is financially dependent on them and thus subject to manipulation (think of the Rockefeller, Carnegie, and Guggenheim foundation). The New World Order they are planning will be a World Dictatorship. Conservatives will call it Socialism or Communism. Liberals will call it Fascism. The label makes little difference; it will be the Gulag Archipelago on a worldwide basis. This book is a very unique publication and reading it will undoubtedly change the way you look at both history and the world today. It completely turns everything on its head. Once you read it, all of a sudden you will see the world around you in infrared. You soon see things which are simply not possible to view with the range of standard vision. The contents of this book is highly controversial and uncompromising. It describes a monster that we, in all our ignorance, have created together. It also serves to give us an idea of what's in store for the near future, so we can better prepare for what's coming our way. In 2006 the first French edition of this book was banned in France.

Focusing on ethnic conflict, he argued that the end was at hand. Now, with such conflict breaking out across the world, he sets forth a general proposition: that far from vanishing, ethnicity will be an elemental force in international politics.
Book Synopsis Crucible for Conservation by : Robert W. Righter
Download or read book Crucible for Conservation written by Robert W. Righter and published by Grand Teton Association. This book was released on 2008-04 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With its unmatchable mountains and broad vistas, it is difficult today to imagine that the land of the Tetons could be anything but a national park. But for over fifty years, the question of national park status remained unsettled as a myriad of public and private interests fought for control over Jackson Hole and the Tetons. Many divergent views of conservation and land use had their hearing in Jackson Hole during the long struggle to establish the Park. Rugged individualists, cattlemen, Easterners, "New Dealers," "state's righters," state of Wyoming officials, Forest Service personnel, and Park Service leaders all wanted hegemony over Jackson Hole and the Tetons. The way in which they cajoled, fought, sued each other and ultimately resolved the issue is a classic case in the difficulties of park-making. Grand Teton National Park is thus no product of chance, but rather the design of men and women working in a noble cause. What they achieved was, Righter suggests, "perhaps the most notable conservation victory of the twentieth century."
