This encouragement has stimulated me to revise them, and to incorporate, as far as possible, at the end of the several Lectures, all the Science and Art Questions for the past dozen years, as well as those set by the Board of Education, South Kensington, up to and including those of 1902. Where this has not been found convenient, the Questions have been inserted under Appendix B., with references for their solution. In Appendix A. I have added short descriptions with illustrations of the best forms of Limit and Micrometer Gauges, as these instruments are now used in many of the best engineering works.
