Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A fingerprint is often a spiral pattern that starts from the center and widens out. The writing structure of Fingerprints of God as written by Jackie Starbuck Denison is similar to the structure of a physical fingerprint. The book centers on God and strengthening one's spiritual point of view through growth. Through stories, Jackie teaches us how to stay focused, yet widen out and share our talents and the gospel. Jackie also shares methods to strengthen our connection to Jesus. These methods include the value of increasing your devotion to prayer and being sensitive to the need to pray for others. She provides the grounding instruction when handed a prophecy puzzle to know, listen, and obey. I am blessed to be Jackie's cousin and to have the opportunity to review this book. Throughout the process, I have become more focused and will try to live my life in a way that nothing gets bigger than my awareness of God's presence in and on my life. (JJ Powell)

You got this far by Gods Grace and Mercy. You got this far because God gave you what you did not deserve. Take a moment and look back at all the things in life you have done, (whether you got caught or not is not the importance), think about everything you have done, look at yourself in the mirror and be honest with yourself, then you will be able to see that you were given favor by God, and He did not give you what you deserved. If you still question whether God is real, look into the eyes of your children, your sisters, your brothers, your husband, your wife, breathe in and breathe out, if you woke up on this side of the dirt today, thats how you can know that God is real, you cannot sustain yourself, God sustains you. If you have read the poems in this book and you were affected by them, if they touched your heart and you dont know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I encourage you to come into a relationship with him. Make God the Lord of your life, and watch things happen in your life that you cannot explain. . . . . . . . thats GOD!!!!!!!!

But perhaps we didn’t recognize it was no coincidence; rather, it was a “holy moment,” God at work in the details of everyday life. Maybe it was a timely phone call, a chance meeting, an unexpected windfall or a friend saying something when needed. Holy moments happen all the time! It’s up to us, however, to recognize them. Lenya Heitzig knows how to search out these holy moments, and she wants to help others spot them, too. Through personal stories, Scripture and beautiful photography, she explores ways to see God’s presence in ordinary events and occurrences. Then, in five biblical steps, she helps readers appreciate and recognize God at work. Find out how ordinary situations can have extraordinary outcomes through recognizing these simple holy moments!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In The Fingerprints of God best-selling author Robert Farrar Capon takes readers on a sleuthing project, using his own uniquely developed history of images to find evidence of the Divine Suspect in our midst." "Capon first explores various images that prompt proper talk about God and the nature of Scripture. The Bible, he says, is the mystery story of God's hidden presence as the Divine Suspect behind all history. Capon discusses the misuse of Scripture due to literalist interpretation, looks at the ways Christ has suffered at the hands of human image-makers, and proposes a novel understanding of salvation history that clarifies the proper roles of Scripture, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus." "In the second part of the book Capon turns his magnifying glass on major thinkers from church history - Irenaeus, Athanasius, Anselm, Luther, Melanchthon, Calvin, Julian of Norwich, and others - pointing out both the strong and the weak images they have produced. Throughout the centuries, Capon sees God as the "Divine Bowler" trying to knock down the faulty "pins" of ideas that have been set up in the lanes of religious history, while also disclosing himself in profound and powerful ways.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Too often we separate our spiritual life from the rest of our life. Given our crazy, hectic, tightly scheduled daily lives, it's easy to remain fragmented instead of drawing together all the pieces that give our lives meaning. We need to take time to look at the very ordinary parts of our day, hold them up to the light of the scripture, and see that God is always there, intimately present, active, and drawing us into a deeper relationship. God is always touching our lives, using our trials, hard times, and day-to-day struggles as well as our joys and triumphs. He is always waiting for us to recognize the potential treasures we already possess. But unless we look for His fingerprints we sometimes miss His touch on our lives and cannot see the blessings He intends for us to discover. "Finding God's Fingerprints in Our Daily Lives" is a daily devotional that looks at events, places, and objects common in life and searches out God's fingerprints within them. It portrays the author's living relationship with God in her daily living that encourages and challenges the reader to search for that same relationship within his or her own life.

Book excerpt: This is probably one of the most difficult books anyone could ever try to easily describe. Although, one possibility to be considered for a description, could be: This will most certainly be one of the strangest books regarding Christianity that you will ever read in your whole entire life. That just about sums it all up. My work is done here. So... Happy Reading!!!Ok, I will try to make a brief description that does not sound too boring, nor too exciting. So, let me mix up the two. Very often, when Christians are approached to talk about Jesus, they seem to think that they know all they need to know. "That's it, and that's that." So, telling them there are some very important things that we could learn from within the Bible, regarding proof of His Messiahship, they often do not think they need to know it. Since they already have faith that He is our Savior. So, this could be a boring part. Discussing things that people don't seem to be too concerned with. But here is the exciting part, this has never been revealed before, and it is better than searching Bible codes for possible hidden messages. As these are found, waiting in plain sight, to be revealed at the appointed time. There are parallels within the Bible's verses that correspond perfectly with God's intended message. They are so very easy for us to find, and we are certainly supposed to know about them. As they were put there for this very purpose, under the divine inspiration of God, for us to find right now. To allow us to see the available proof that Jesus did exactly what He said He would do, exactly how and when He said He would. This, by His own words, as, His proof of His Messiahship. So...Once we get past what we are supposed to already know regarding a very specific frame of time, that is when the mystery begins to unfold. It is with this specific knowledge that all else has been revealed. Having the ability to see things that otherwise would never be able to be known. Look and see for yourself what God's Holy Spirit has chosen to reveal. You will see some very interesting things indeed. God revealed who was anointed to be given the power to make the necessary changes needing to be made within the United States. Was this, the equivalent of a sign that God was giving the world more time? There has also been given a very clear indication of someone who was positioned to be known in the end-times, as the "False Prophet." We still have no possible identity of the Anti-Christ. But it almost seems as though, somehow these people thought they had been given a choice, in who it was they were or wanted to become. I do not discuss this topic at extra length in my book, as we need to make it past this initial discovery. While letting the "dust fly" for a while, from what is taking place in the United States and upon the World Stage. Once we are all aware of what is now available for us to see, we may have a clearer idea of what to expect and whom to expect it from. I have no intention to publish the name of the one indicated as the False Prophet, as that is part of this mystery. Also, I am not going to be responsible for immortalizing the name in my book and giving to them undue attention, for the chance they are gaining any power from it. Besides, you can figure it out on your own, as I have laid it all out for you. So that it's very easy for anyone to see. As a servant of the Lord and the intended messenger for this new information, I plan on doing my part in bringing this all out into the light. In order to know what it is that I know, you need to know, how I know it. I am way ahead of you and you have got some serious catching up to do.

This book was released on 2008-01-25 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fingerprints of God is drawn from the authors experience during 50 years of parish ministry to a broad spectrum of worshippers, from teen-agers to senior citizens, from farmers to physicists, from blue collar workers to PhDs. All shared a common hunger to know God as an eternal reality in a world of change and pursued a quest to find reasons for faith. Evidence for the presence of God can be found in history, human experience and in Holy Scripture. Fingerprints of God relates contemporary situations to biblical precedents and personalities from Genesis to Revelation in search of Truth. The author follows the footsteps of others who found the fingerprints of Gods hand in their lives. With illustrations from literature, biography, and his own personal experience, he shares insights of pastors and teachers who guided his own faith journey. The reader follows the foibles and faith of Old Testament characters leading to the person and work of Jesus Christ, the finger of God among us (Luke 11:20). The significance of his life and death and resurrection as the foundation for our faith are the focus of the concluding chapters. The author makes no claim to be profound or prophetic. Each chapter is a simple attempt to answer some question or address a current issue or need in the life of ordinary people. None of the featured topics purport to be the last word on the subject under consideration. Like the words and works of Jesus, much more could be said which is not recorded in this book, but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:30-31.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Love, surrender, and service to all life are the central themes in Fran Blackwell's poetry. These themes manifest stylistically from humor to ecstasy. She turns mystery into insight with one carefully produced phrase. The subject of her poetry is Life, and each poem is like a song from the experiences of Soul. With infinite patience and acceptance, she examines the experiences of her own life and delivers the inner wisdom she gains from this examination into common language. She shares her spiritual inheritance unselfishly, honestly, and joyously. Like the works of Rumi, Fran's poetry reaches beyond religion, culture, and time. It speaks to all who have the ears to hear and the vision to see the uncommon beauty and insight that manifests in her words. A dream poetry class with Rumi was the inspiration for these poems, which were written over a period of three years. The author's lifelong quest to know truth and God, no matter the cost, has been a road filled with experiences of love, pain, joy and profound opportunities to know the ways of Divine Spirit through the Beloved Master. It has been an exhilarating journey that continues to lead her to higher truths as she explores the inner worlds of the Divine. The relentless inspiration of Spirit has resulted in these poems, in which she tries to express in words the truth of the eternal nature of Soul. It is her passion to share this with all who walk the path of their spiritual journey.
